Ween - Did You See Me? Lyrics

Did you see me?
Come down on the sand and sea
Believe me

Did you see me?
Waving it free in the tree
Believe me

Did you see me?
Flying through the galaxy
Believe me

Did you see me?
Waving it free in the tree
Believe me

This song gives me the image of being a sailor in a naval battle and when the all the instruments start playing the ship that the Yong salot is on is hit and begins to take on water and and that weird blip is the gurgle of the water. And then the with the other ship gone they send out a flare and the slot saying did you see me is saying "did you see me and the flare and when it's the lone guy with the guitar the ship is fully under water and it goes out while he looses his strength and drownds

O.M.G this is superb music. This song is something like combining 70s era Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull. Someone suggested I listen to "Ween" and this is the first song I chose. Wow. Just Wow.

Many of Ween's songs sound like they are 80% done to me. This song starts out amazing, then it just kinda fades away. It makes sense that they didn't put this on The Mollusk. It would have been way too long if they had finished it.

  51. E.... o....

i can't even describe this song

  52. I.... W....

Reminds me of animals floyd album

I love WEEN... so much versatility... This song sounds like Jethro Tull

  59. J.... C....

My first intro to WEEN was 'Little Birdie' from Pure Guava back in the '90's. Saw them a few times, have most of their albums, just LOVE this band!

  60. J.... C....

At 3:50ish, they go into a Jethro Tull thing that sounds fantastic!

    J.... D....

You're right. It gets to a point where you hear 20 songs from other bands of all varieties and each of those songs makes you think of a Ween song. Basically every other band in the world sounds like Ween.

  75. A.... E....

Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull in the same song..... only ween. stay brown yall

Sorry to hear of your uncles passing. He would be happy to know you are using music how it's intended. Bet he has this record jamming right now waiting to listen with you.

Why do I go down another Ween rabbit-hole every other year or so for like a month? I think because of songs like this. 'Did You See Me' is so Pink Floyd Animals in such the best way.

  85. K.... W....

Love these men, right up my alley

  86. B.... B....

    we need our Ween,Ween saves.

  87. S.... B....

Ween is so fucking cool. They shit out these songs like it's nothing, but they come off as totally sincere and earnest homages to classic bands across countless genres. They can record an epic prog jam like this, then crank out a soul/R&B jam, a country ballad, followed by a throwaway song about dicks...and all on the same album no less.

  88. z.... z....

this is a whole different song on 2x speed

This song will be played full blast at my funeral . °\(ö)/° = /

  91. T.... J....

I love how the song clearly utilizes some of the DNA of Meddle-era Pink Floyd, but it's still undeniably WEEN. No matter what sound they were experimenting with, they took it and made it their own. And some of their songs don't sound like anything else out there, but it's all great.

  92. T.... D....

This is what it sounds like where we're going
