Watson, Gene - This Song Is Just For You Lyrics

Of all the songs the world is singing
Of dreams that do and don't come true
I guess I've sung about a million
But darling this one's just for you

I don't care if the world can't hear it playing
If it's never number one or two
I just want to tell you how much I love you
So darling this song's just for you

What do they care about my troubles
If my whole world suddenly falls through
You'll be the one who'll stand beside me
So darling this song's just for you

I don't care if the world can't hear it playing...

You are so lucky...I'm so far back in the sticks here in Arkansas that the only one we ever see is Clem Clodhopper.  LOL     Mikey

@uronthehill LOL I was lucky the last time I saw Gene was in Cumming, GA and just happened to be at my daughters and he was at a fair there only a ten minute drive. I visited Arkansas in '84 or '85 and saw a show not too far from Little Rock..I believe...the place was secluded. I can't recall who was in it but I think one person was the Lt Governor of Arkansas at the time! Lots of music and comedy! I lived in La. had gone to Arkansas to bring back a car and spent the weekend there with friends. Visited the Wax Museum and went up in a tower, where when looking out..You could see for miles and miles!

Ruth, I live in a  very remote area of the Ozarks in northern Arkansas about 120 miles north of Little Rock. The town I live in is known as the "Folk Music Capitol" of the world.   :)    Mikey

@Gramma Dee I hope I can get my ticket in the morning, they may not even be on sale yet, but I'm checking in a few minutes! Wish you were here to enjoy it with me! If I get to talk to him, I will say Gramma Dee says Hi!
