There was a lot of good int the Occupy Wall Street movement, but the song Amazing Grace represents how Christians feel (or how we should feel). It is a sacred song for us.
Of course I know that a lot of religious people have polluted politics with religion. Many Christians are guilty.
Maybe our political solutions are terrible. But the son Amazing Grace represents how Jesus saved a wretch like me, a really hateful, greedy, self-centered person like me. It represents something much deeper and much better than any political movement, even a good political movement.
Politics, political movements, social justice, the religious right, nor  the religious left can never take away our sins.
