I love this newest Waterboys album, as I have loved all that preceded it.

Mike Scott is a brilliant songwriter, a poet of the finest kind, and an excellent and versatile musician.

We often don't fully appreciate what artistic visionaries of Mike's caliber have gifted us until well after said gifts have been given.

The courage to rock one's own stylistic boat to explore new ideas, while remaining true to One's essential visions, is what sustains the creative evolution of all great artists and what insures the ongoing relevance of their work.

With this the artist remains creatively alive, and their work evolves.
Without this the artist's creativity dies and their work stagnates, limited to repetition and growth in scale.

Mike ceaselessly explores new ideas and experiences, igniting and nourishing his creativity in the process.
He is consistantly productive and his music is of consistantly high quality.
Mike Scott is an artist of the highest integrity.
Mike Scott Is Very Much Alive!

I look forward with joyful anticipation to visiting what ever musical destination Mike's expansive creative vision leads him to next.
There's no doubt it will be beautiful, and beautifully unexpected.

I have just listened... all songs from this Album........ Hmmmmmm ..... What can I say...? Weird ! A lot of different styles of music.... Going to buy it tomorrow...... Simply love Waterboys.... Hope after 3 times listening to...... will be better !!! ;).... Love from Poland <3

Laodia Yes they have really envoled, many different sounds and styles. Glad to hear them again as it's been a while. keep on Rocking in the Free World👍🕊❤🇺🇸

Bit too much filler if you ask me. Plenty of killers, could have done without the 'hip-hop' instrumental the 'country' dirges and risible Payo Payo Chin, but generally Mike's still got it, that's for sure.

I see where you're coming from Gary. I'm not a fan of instrumentals, hip hop or country, but I find that this all flows together well. Some of the songs outside of the album as a whole would not be very interesting. Same with Exile on Man Street though.

That's cool Tom and I'm going to go back and pay attention to the flow.
