Glad I grew up in the 80s. No one could ever have sung this song like Blackie. I wished I had seen WASP in concert back in the 80s. Their videos were just amazing.

I don't care what anyone says, W.A.S.P had the most amazing beautiful ballads. They weren't glammed out so got overlooked in some ways back then. One of the best metal bands to ever exist!

This was the greatest era for music. This and other Bands of the 70`s/80`s had meaning a depth. Yes we had long hair, torn jeans and leather jackets. So what. We never hurt anyone, partied hard with the music punched to 10. Good times. Today the music sucks. Man bun beard wearing pussies listening to crap about rape, killing burning down this or that etc but yet are offended by everything. Please bring back the 70`s/80`s music.

Love W.A.S.P. Idc if other people say that they suck. I just know what they are missing out on. New rubbish 'music' has stopped people finding out this beautiful, song that actually has emotion in it. Now people won't accept rock or metal even though if you listen to the lyrics people can relate.

I listen to mostly rap, and what rock I do listen to is heavy metal. Im not really into ballads, but this song is fierce! It builds up perfectly. When he says, "Forever Free", at 2:04, its on! The guitar solo is crazy, the chorus is hypnotic, and the run out is so strong. The song has anguish and emotion pouring out of it. This song is real. Youre not going to hear anything like that on a Top 40 station.

The changeover to the guitar solo around the 2 minute mark is done just perfectly, I've never heard anything like it.

One of the best songs ever recorded. WASP is the most under-rated band of all time. The power of their ballads absolutely blows formulaic rock songs like Bon Jovi's out of the water. The only difference was they had the guts to be themselves, to be different, and not just be a typical glam-rock band of the time. And the general public didn't like it, the swearing and craziness. It's just such a shame because with the ability of members of the band like Blackie and Chris, if they had been accepted mainstream, they would have been one of the most successful bands of all time.
