Speaking personally for myself, Everytime I hear this song, I break down and cry 😭💖 , but the good news is that when you have faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we can take all our sorrow,and pain the Lord. For no one else has suffered like our Lord Jesus Christ. And he knows what you and I bare. I am a living breathing testimony that God Almighty has continual love and mercy. I pray for all those who are lost and confused, rejected that they do find the Lord Jesus Christ, before it's too late. God bless 💖🙏✝️.

For me, it will always be one of the saddest songs -- I used to hear it on the radio around the time of the Manson family murders in 1969, and to this day it makes me think of Sharon Tate, taken so young and so brutally.

It was a special time for musicians. There are still great musicians but they have been silenced by the forced uniformity that abounds in all our media. The time of creativity has passed and probably won't return in my lifetime. Its sad, but there are still treasures to listen to, sing with, dance to and enjoy.

The interconnection of beauty and pain, love and loss, hope and despair are the lot of every living thing on this planet. As Bruce Cockburn wrote of our home and about us "Battered and abused and lovely". "What's in back of the sky, why do we cry". Why can't we find the common thread that we all share of being lost in a universe that never ends and that ultimately each and everyone one of us will lose everything we cherish, love and revere. Perhaps it's not in the loss but in the grace that can accompany living in the face of what appears to be hopelessness that in the end, makes life beautiful. Perhaps the art given to us by artists such as Mr's. David and Bacharach and Ms. Warwick are part of the gift that points to one thing that can make tomorrow worth waiting for, Hope.
