I'm totally shattered. This....there are no words that do this song justice...this Zevonian masterpiece, with the shots of Warren walking the nighttime streets of his beloved L.A...long black coat, with that breathtaking spill of golden ponytail between broad, black-clad shoulders...a gunfighter savoring a moment of peace between showdowns. Then I am faced with the utterly vicious WASTE of such an incandescent Spirit: a man who could reach right into your chest and wrench your heart loose from its moorings with the sheer force of his genius, then kindle a warm glow in that same heart...a smile, a chuckle, and suddenly Life is good again. And THIS was torn from us at the last of his numberless apexes of talent, ripped away by the Vast Indifference Of Heaven when he still had so much left to give. And people ask me why I don't believe in God? The answer is self-evident: I DO believe in a God. He walks the nighttime streets of the City of Angels, vibrant, Forever Alive, gifted beyond imagination, absolutely Irreplaceable...a Legend in a long black coat and golden ponytail. Trust me...he's simply exchanged Realities, and where he is now is the better for his presence there. See...Legends never die...and Warren was, is, and shall ALWAYS be the greatest Legend of them all.
