Warrant - Undertow Lyrics

You speak from both sides of your mouth
I tried to work it out
You hated me all along
I tried to get along

You talk to much for me
It's verbal therapy
I don't need words to fight with you
Just my left and civil right with you

[BRIDGE]
Make up your mind
Stop wasting my time

[CHORUS]
Then the storm broke
And the rain fell
Then the flood came
Made the river swell
Then the damn broke
I just let it go
I was pulled down
By the undertow

    T.... A....

don't sound damn thing like alice in chains ,,better lol

    T.... A....

You might want to check your years on this album was released. They were selling out arenas when Alice in chains were toddlers.

    Janie Lane = Musical Genius

This song is one of my favourite songs of all time. When warrant went grungier it worked. One of the few bands to be able to convincingly pull it off at the time.

    E.... ....

Hell yeah, it totally worked! Just goes to show how talented and versatile Jani was as a songwriter. His voice also perfectly worked for this type of grungier music. The man could do it all!

it's Rick and James made that album rocks Janie's just a genius

+david fitz Were Rick and James not happy in Warrant? Why were they only around for such a short time?

  6. d.... f....

I was Ricks guitar tech in James's drum tech during that tour

    d.... f....

+david fitz Really? That's fucking awesome! So I guess you met Jani quite often??

    d.... f....

    david fitz-gibbon?

David, when did James leave? I saw them at The Ritz in Roseville, MI in April of 1995, and can't find any video footage with him in it.

I may have seen you picking up his cymbal stands after he double fisted the cymbal and it fell down! Haha!

I also remember seeing huge divots in the tom heads because he was beating the shit out of them.

I've seen more like 20-something times but I remember this one specifically because I got to see them in a small venue and it was great even had beers with the guys after the show.

Enjoyed reading all the positive comments here, as I too, love this album. They survived the decline of glam, and still made music that appealed to their original fans. Great stuff.

One of the most underrated bands of all time they catch a lot of flat because of cherry pie which is was more there a record labels fault than theirs. They were just using the formula that worked for that period of time to make money I get it, they're still my favorite rock band.

  8. T.... ....

It sounds like a lost Alice in Chains song, and I mean that in the best way possible.
