You must come as an ungodly sinner to be saved. No one has ever been saved except the UNGODLY (Romans 4:5-8). God doesn't save the self-righteous, who are going about to establish their own righteousness (Matthew 7:21-23). We can only be saved by God's righteousness, which is through faith in Christ. Philippians 3:9 says, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”
