Sing it sister.... nothing but love for the Queen. She killed it and still does. Jack White is like a puppy dog around the 80+ yr old Wanda and quite rightly reveres her legacy. Check out their cover of Dylan's Thunder On The Mountain its fire. What a classy lady she is to this day. A true star!!!

Love Wanda Jackson, but prefer the original version of this song by Brenda Lee. They've actually got very similar voices and often hard to tell them apart, so no wonder that she covered this song.

Compared to  Brenda's releases, this was a cakewalk.
Wanda was an unknown on the charts.  There were no PR men to contact, no studio execs to get ticked off.   We let her roll, and she charted on her own.

Sweet, indeed.  Of course, the profits for our efforts were about the same as the title...LOL.   Sweet nothings.

Nobody had ever had their coffee yet for god's sake.
She says I gotta do this NOW.  She had been up all night and was ready to rock.
No drugs or anything, she just simply had to get this out.
Once we had it canned, she slept like a baby for days........LOL.
The tape went from my hands to a lathemaster hours later, and the release took place less than 48 hours after I handed it off.

I got a lotta crap for end running it the way I did, but that all went away when the chart reports started coming in.

I'm a recent fan of Wanda Jackson and adding some of her material to our bands repertoire like Let's Have a Party, Whole lotta Shakin Going On and of course Happy Happy Birthday Baby! The era between 1955 and 1959 was just incredible. If you actually had something to do with the recording process I commend you! They are absolutely incredible recordings!

My mistake - from the sax break and backing vocals, this must be the other version of Sweet Nuthin' s recorded by Wanda Jackson in Sweden in 1984 for her Rock-A-Billy Fever album.

I see a lot of comments doubting that this is Wanda Jackson. Of course it is, and very recognisably so. This version was recorded in Nashville in 1982.

The first time I heard her I thought she sounded a lot like Brenda Lee, who recorded this song in 1959 when she was only 15. I think Wanda is terrific, but listen to Little Miss Dynamite sing this; her interpretation is much sexier than Wanda's, & she was just a little bitty girl! Still, Wanda is fabulous & a true Authentic!

This is the first I've ever heard this woman sing, and I really like her. She has a great voice and so beautiful. Actually I wasn't even born yet, 1937, no wonder. But, I'm adding her to my list and when I have a nice cocktail I'll listen to her. :)

Wanda Jackson was 1st. So Brenda Lee (who I love) was ispired by Jackson. Back in the 1950's many different artist would cover the same song. Brenda Lee's version is the best to me. They are both stellar singers though. I love both ladies.
