Wanda Jackson - Singing The Blues Lyrics

I never felt more like singing the blues 'cause I never thought that I'd ever lose
Your love dear why'd you do me this way
I never felt more like crying all night cause everything's wrong and nothing ain't right
Without you you got me singing the blues

The moon and stars no longer shine the dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothing left for me to do but cry over you
I never felt more like running away but why should I go 'cause I couldn't stay
Without you you got me singing the blues

I never felt more like singing the blues...

    I love you baby.

  5. S.... D....

Nice version of the Melvin Endsley classic. Covered by many, country and pop. IMO, the finest version by a female singer is by pretty Jamey Ryan on a Del Reeves "Country Carnival" show.

I love Wanda for country and rockabilly music but Guy Mitchell had the #1 hit on Billboard in the U.S. and #1 in the U.K. and it was the best pop version of the song.

Often when I listen to a song that I love I will just focus in on the bass and listen to it that way

    Thanks

    w.... ....

@webbjr37 Wrong information here. Marty Robbins did NOT write this song. It was written by Melvin Endsley. Marty Robbins had the first hit on this song in 1956. I am a huge Marty Robbins fan but I assume when you say his version is the best you need to add "in my opinion." Many others would say Guy Mitchell had an equally great version....and so does Wanda. I also agree with another comment about Cliff Richard's version being very good too. They are all very good.
