Chuck Rainey's bass on this tune is perfect. He played the bass on Steely Dan's AJA (Grammy winner) including the hit song PEG. One of the best!

I was sitting 5 rows back, I could see every expression on his face. He closed his eyes a lot!

What A great album it is!! Doesn't Even begin to COVER the finest Joe had to offer!!!

Imagine, 2nd row seat, Dec., 1972 when an Andy Frain usher brings me a note, A NOTE mind you, from the man ( Joe Walsh no less)
begging for some of our "very delicious smelling" party supplies.

As it turned that lame gold colombian smelled like cigar store sweepings (hey, his words).

Out, of pity I sent him some opium laced Panama red.
Not a lot. Just about 4 healthy, pregnant in the middle Js. worth.
At break time the ushers back & he says Joes MAD.....
I freely admit I was BOTH scared crapless AND paranoid!!!

When I got backstage, Joe was in a heated argument withsome ugly little man.

It was about the quality of the bands libations & what I'd sent along...
All the while Joe & the band were having some Wicked assed head rushes on the way to out of bodies.
And the manager was on stage concocting some birdlime to the audience.

Fortunately, they only did about a 20 min. high.
Boy, were they revved up.
They played for abot 2 hrs.
And no more James gang.

Just this album to great artistic heights.

just bought this on vinyl i have to say its one of the best 4.00 dollars i have spent on music, as a 18 year old i find this music very moving and this much soul and up lifting harmonies, and melidies would come back

God,this man didnt make a bad song.Born in 66 and my father a musician I quickly took to music.I have listened to Joe for as long as I can remember,and still do.Listen to all this man has done,you will never be disappointed.

I love Chuck Rainey's bass playing on this track...This is one record i NEVER tire of..!!! Sooooo good...!!!

I've got to find this CD somewhere, I did have it but someone must have taken it while I wasn't looking....can't really blame them...not many rock symphanies ever made as good as this one!
