Wallflowers, The - (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding Lyrics
As I walk through
This wicked world
I'm searching for light in the darkness of insanity
I ask myself
Is all hope lost?
And each time I feel like this inside there's one thing I wanna know
Now what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
Now what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
As I walk on
Through troubled times
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
Oh where are the strong?
And who are the trusted?
Sweet harmony
And each time I feel it slipping away
It just makes me wanna cry
And what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
Now what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
So where are the strong?
And who are are the trusted?
Sweet harmony
And each time I feel it slipping away
It just makes me wanna cry
Yeah what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
Now what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
Now what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?

Hey, have you heard the Holmes Bros. version?? Talk about great takes . . .
Thanks that’s quite a cover!
I've always treasured this song. And this is just a great take! The arrangement is both spare (no studio gloss of synth-orchestra or 5 guitars at once, thank you) and as driving as Nick's and Elvis C.'s versions, both of which I've adored for decades. Now I adore this version too. Well done! And I bet they loved this one also. It's not an imitation, it's a great homage to a truly great song. Thank you!
