Walker Brothers, The - Fat Mama Kick Lyrics

Sunfighters
Locked in right angle rooms
Watch their lovers sleep face down in the yellow light
Keep the balance on a back curve
Till the war with the night is over

The gods are gone, the air is thick
You cannot risk the fat fat mama kick

Armed angels in the city lights
Wait inside their master corpses peeled raw, betrayed
And fade and fade as the noise goes over and over

The gods are gone the searchlites thick
You cannot risk the fat fat mama kick

Deaf-dumb-blind
Deaf-dumb-blind
Deaf-dumb-blind
Deaf-dumb-blind
Deaf-dumb-blind
Deaf-dumb-blind

Sunfighters
Locked in right angle rooms
Burn the heat off with their lovers in the yellow light
Keep the balance in a mirror flash
Till the war with the night is over

Beautiful man beautiful voice ❤️ RIP Scott 💔 Outstanding creator of sound- we’re still listening 😢👏

  3. Y.... B....

There is a fat mama, M.B.Casne, in WV who should be kicked hard.

  4. D.... ....

So weird, evil, and demonic. Bizarre....

  5. S.... ....

Scott out-bowied Bowie on this... well Scott EP, the rest of the album is the most appalling AOR of the era.

  6. M.... W....

Everything Scott does turns to gold.

  7. B.... ....

I don't generally like Scott Walker or the Walker Brothers but love Scott Walker's tracks on this album. Very akin to Bowie's Berlin era work. Yeah, I can hear it in parts of "BlackStar" also.

You should give Scott a good try, as a big Bowie fan (he's my favorite artist) i think Scott's gone to incredible places and done things that David didn't quite do (and vice versa). Blackstar has a lot in common with the dystopian art rock sounds of the late 70's indeed.

Scott's later work is stunning (Tilt,The Drift, etc...)

    B.... ....

There wouldn't be David Bowie without Scott Walker

    B.... ....

@Neurodisco77 I suspect that they influenced each other.

    B.... ....

@MisAnnThorpe I agree, especially since this was Post-Low

  8. V.... W....

There is such a heavy Scott Walker vibe on David Bowie's Blackstar. I love it. Muchas gracias to both of these amazing artists.

  9. m.... b....

There is no equivalent to the quality of Scott walkers craft. Original wiout an influence.

  10. I.... T....

Truly one of the weirdest things ever recorded!  I adore it!!
Eb9 singing over some kind of Eminor cluster!  This is just so daring and heavy.

The vocals are in F7 while the instruments play in Emi. Bizarre. Brilliant.

  11. S.... O....

    Super-underrated

    This should have a Comment.

I come back to this song once a week.
