Waits, Tom - We're All Mad Here Lyrics
You can hang me in a bottle like a cat
Let the crows pick me clean but for my hat
Where the wailing of a baby
Meets the footsteps of the dead
We're all mad here
As the devil sticks his flag into the mud
Mrs Carol has run off with Reverend Judd
Hell is such a lonely place
And your big expensive face will never last
And you'll die with the rose still on your lips
And in time the heart-shaped bone that was your hips
And the worms, they will climb the rugged ladder of your spine
We're all mad here
And we're all inside a decomposing train
And your eyes will die like fish
And the shore of your face will turn to bone

shoulda bought CDs
ahh that's awful, hope you feel better soon.
that was him o.O I haven't seen that movie in the longest time
@GameBoyPL1991 Oh my gosh...Waits and Svankmajer would be so amazing! (I agree too that Burton's film was incredibly unfaithful to the books, which was disappointing for me since I'm actually a fan of a lot of his stuff and expected something more original.)
@oh1hek Nope, Waits' "Alice" is one of the greatest tributes to that wonderful book and Burton butchered it by turning delightful mixture of nonsence, dreams, madness and imagination into piece of typical "good vs. evil (also epic battles and shit)" Hollywood movie. I would rather see collaboration of Tom and Czech director Jan Svankmajer - he is pure genius, watch his "Something from Alice" - it's pure surrealistic bliss.
PS. Yeah, I'm kind of "Alice in Wonderland" nerd. :p
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh home again...............
0 dislikes, its soooo tempting; but i jus cant, hes jus sooo good
@oh1hek Aye, I was just saying that to a friend!
@LaGoonch i smoke chains with a blowtorch
OMG I JUST REALIZED!!! The soundtrack for Alice: Madness Returns HAD to have been inspired by Tom Waits... just listen to it.
@oh1hek I agree!
You mad bro?
We're all mad here.
He definetly needs to do something with Tim Burton
He would have made a good voice in Nightmare Before Christmas, & an even better song!
Dark Art Delights yes!!!!!!!!!!!
@ThePunkrokgrrl Definitely! He was also in Bram Stoker's Dracula as the crazy bug-eating guy. Stunning.
@bacardi119 I think he would have made a good voice actor as Rattlesnake Jake from Rango lol :)
@residentevlidead I was thinking something similar. But not in a TB's movie but in the new Batman movie as Bane. I think he would pull it off just great. Then again, what does this man do wrong?
reminds me of banjo and kazooie
yes and he is the master of mad asylum
dammit im mad, now read this backwards
tom waits, never losin that feel, his imagery, soul and sound, i think he's one of the best artists of modern times, but i'm sure you already knew that.
I was accidently listening to this with channel 4s The Curfew music on at the same time, it sounds really good. If I could work out a way to download both and mix them together I would. =)
@rachaelmae94 yeah out of all the stuff ive heard the rain dogs and alice albums are the best
:) I'm in love with his music. Especially the Alice album.
He really does sing in Werewolf. Note: this is not a complaint.
