So when I was rewatching The Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy I had only heard one Voltaire song at the time “When You’re Evil”. I was very surprised this show would have a musical number as good as Brains and that episode remains one of my favorites for its references like the Thriller reference and the obvious reference to little shop of horrors etc. So after some research I found out it was Voltaire who wrote and performed Brains. Afterward when I was watching Billy and Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure I immediately noticed when I heard the theme song Land of the Dead that it was Voltaire at that time I had heard three songs that I like by him and decided to listen to some more. Then I decided to listen to some more. Which is big for me since I am incredibly picky about my music. Then I listened to Almost Human then that’s when I realized this is the most talented man of all time. Almost Human still remains to be my favorite album of all time! My favorite songs being Almost Human, Feathery Wings, Dunce, God Thinks, and Dead Girls

I really love how well this song fits with Billy and Mandy's style in general.
The show's style has a very goth looking sharp style but still has the whacky slapstick everyone loves in a cartoon. And I feel like this song still captures that feeling perfectly, even years later.
Maxwell surely made the right choice when deciding to commission Voltaire to do this song, and Land of the Dead is just as good if not better.

+MrLukygamer I think I heard somewhere that Maxwell Atoms (Show's creator) said he would be willing to reboot Billy and Mandy if Cartoon Network wanted to.  Cartoon Network has been doing reboots recently so they might bring it back.  Although, I also heard he was doing another project called "Dead Meat" as of now, so I'm not sure if that statement still stands.  :)

As far as I know they gave him a basic concept for the song, but they didn't give him a script or something like that; and they were going to pay him for the song's length, that's why it's so long xD

My daughter and I were in Atlanta for Dragon*Con a couple of years ago. One of the events was a night at the Atlanta Aquarium. We were sitting at a table, having a nosh, and this song came on. I don't know why, but I jumped up and started to dance! (I do NOT dance!) My daughter got up to dance with me and when I looked around, I saw that half the crowd was dancing with us. It was the highlight of the entire trip!

I know this has probably been said before, but I like to imagine this as some kind of over-the-top version of the 'Bite of 87'...
I can imagine a child at Freddy Fazbear's watching Foxy doing his show and when it's over Foxy whispers to the kid that he needs the kid to sneak him out of the pizzeria so he can eat people's brains. The rest of the song is Foxy going around eating people's brains with the help of the kid. Then Foxy notices the kid is protecting his mother from the carnage and goes to eat her but the manager of the pizzeria (who survived somehow XD) shuts Foxy down.
Just imagine: "They used to be able to walk around during the day too, but then there were the biteS of 87"... >:)
(And yeah, I know it's been confirmed that Fredbear did the bite, but I sometimes like to still think Foxy did it, it kinda makes more sense that way XD)

I don't know if it's common in the US (I think not) but in some western european countries (Spain, Portugal, France and I think in Italy too) brains are an actual dish. In Spain we call it "sesos" and I'm not going to deny it, it may sound gross but they are reeeally delicious. Anyhow, this song popped to my mind while I was eating some yesterday! XD

You can buy brains I think but they are not commonly eaten in the US. I talked to a friend of mine and the idea turned him off. So we associate the eating practice with zombies.
