This albumn is full of skill and knowledge. I'm a 47 year old guy and these guys are the new Rock and Roll. It took 3 weeks after I ordered it and now My granddaughter asks me to play it in my truck. I just caught ont to VB last year.

Agree with Mark Larner - I saw them at Hampton Beach casino (Hampton Beach, NH) back in 2014. We were slightly stage right, and right up front. His voice is just amazing. He sounds so good in concert. I love this band so much.

As much as I want to call Volbeat cheesy, I can't deny their vocals and musical talent. I also can't deny that they are my favorite band. Each album delivers. This song,cheapside sloggers, and pelvis on fire are my 3 favorite track. They forced me to like them.

A few years back, people in popular music started referring to themselves as 'artists', then under that pretense, it amazes one when a few people are not able to take that in. If this is art, then the lyrics mean something, the progression of giving something new once you already painted that other proverbial painting is what they're doing. These lyrics are great and not cliche in comparison to what one normally hears on the radio. This is a very good album, there are no fillers on this one unlike a majority of other bands out there. As far as the heavier approach and what they initially established themselves as, there are few of those on this LP but that is alright since I have those expressions already on their other LPs... BTW, this album showcases Poulsen's voice

I wouldn’t say it’s bad, and certainly wouldn’t say it sucks, but I honestly think for a band with such a strong legacy the newest stuff is falling far short of what they used to pump out. But I’m happy that the masses are enjoying it. For the amazing songs of the past I believe this band has earned the right to keep earning its keep.

They are an amazing band with diversity. My favorite band ever and Michael Poulsen is an extremely talented artist and vocalist. Everyone has different taste in the music they like and opinions. Nothing will ever change that. I have a friend who is a die hard FFDP fan. He thinks they are the best band ever but their slower non heavy metal songs all suck. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

You do realize this is a concept album about looking back on your childhood and moving forward. The vibe is positive this the music would sound really strange if you match these lyrics w a thrash metal piece of music
