This is weird... the number of likes is at 1746, dislikes is at 412. That is a high amount of dislikes compared to likes and is atypical of VNV videos I looked at. I went to the Wayback Machine and even one month ago on April 8 2017, the number of dislikes weren't nearly that high; it was at 30. What's that all about? O_o

Awesome band...very original music. These days hard to say that...I'm old Eighties guy too...and remember when New Wave was original...Smiths, KraftW, NO, DM, Cure, JD, etc.  Well written lyrics, production, rhythm, etc...A gift you have to have even if you just own a laptop and music software. Anyone could buy a guitar, keyboards, etc back in the day but you have to have the creativity/talent gene...still today..

Rowan himself hates war (Who doesnt?). heard it from himself last Saturday, to me its about being in the military, reflecting on it and finally getting away war's awful memories, being finally able to move on. @Catfulism You've obviously never been to a VNV show. The lead singer is known to explicitly state "I HATE WAR" before performing this song. So, yes, it's about a fictional war, but it is DEFINITELY anti-war.
