Vinton, Bobby - My Melody Of Love Lyrics
I'm lookin for a place to go so I can be all alone
From thoughts and memories
So that when the music plays I don't go back to the days
When love was you and me
Moja droga, ja cię kocham
Means that I love you so
Moja droga, ja cię kocham
More than you'll ever know
Kocham ciebie calym serce
Love you with all my heart
Return to me, and always be
My melody of love
Wish I had a place to hide all my sorrow, all my pride
'cause the love once so fine keeps on hurtin all the time
where did I go wrong?
Oh, oh...
Moja droga, ja cię kocham
Means that I love you so
Moja droga, ja cię kocham
More than you'll ever know
Kocham ciebie calym serce
Love you with all my heart
Return to me, and always be
My melody of love
Oh, oh,
My melody of love
My melody of love
My melody of love

Vinton, Bobby My Melody Of Love Comments
My maternal Grandfather was Italian and my Father was Polish. They would drink vino and sign this song to me. I was the first born girl, with three older brothers. My name is Melodi. They loved me so...such wonderful memories. When times were simpler.
hola hola XD czegoś tu nie ogarniam
I remember hearing this song around Christmas of 1974.
I’m not Polish, but I had his records as a little girl! His mother was right, “make songs the people can sing along with & they’ll love them!”
Beautiful ... my parent's love song. This song reminds me of several wedding receptions in the 70s !

The melody of this song was used with different lyrics & titled "Don't Stay Away Too Long" in the UK where it was a top 5 hit in early 1974 for the duo Peter's & Lee.

I remember Bobby Vinton before he was Polish.
for many many years, even decades, i kept trying to think of the words and name to this song, but just couldnt come up with it. then one day when listening to some Reader's Digest collection of various songs by various artists, this song was the very last one in that collection. it made buying that seemingly nerdy collection, more than worth it. i was so happy
One of his greatest SONG'S 😍🍃💞🍃🌹💞⛵⛵🥂🌹

Booby Vinton WHAT A GREAT SONG MY MELODY OF LOVE <3
in 1974, i was in first grade and this was the national anthem of my chicago neighborhood and st. camillus parish.
my mom loved bobby vinton and this song. the other day, i was driving home on a long road trip back from a place where she and i lived for a few years on the gulf coast, and missing my ma terribly. i asked her for a sign she's ok, that she was with me, and a minute later this came on the radio - in the middle of nowhere, nonetheless - the bootheel of missouri, not far from memphis. i started crying uncontrollably. sadness, happiness, nostalgia, a yearning to be with my parents in my old neighborhood again.
Awhhh... that's so sweet. Hey, believe me I know the feeling. My dad was Polish and ma and dad use to dance 💃 to that song. I miss him dearly and that song to this day makes me cry 😭 happy 😊 tears.
Proud to be Polish :)
I wish I was Polish, listening to this song!

Growing up in the '70s, my first date with an African-American beauty consisted of this song playing on her turntable (her album).
Go figure... good times and great memories (hello, Rachel!).

My only living grandparent who was my moms mom passed away october of 2018. When all of her kids and grandkids were at the hospital while she was getting ready to pass, we sang this to her. My grandmother was polish and me being the oldest granddaughter, it has a special meaning to me for her. Even if my mom aunts and uncles or cousins couldnt sing the polish i did it for my grammy. Perfectly.

I much prefer his original hit version from 1974, which I think was the one he sang every week on his TV show. No idea why Vinton felt he just had to remix it and add Country-Western style twanging guitar. That ruined it for me. I guess that was the beginning of his faux cowboy wardrobe and his eventual move to Branson.
Szczęśliwe lata dzieciństwa.Piękna piosenka i cudowne wykonanie Pozdrawiam cieplutko.

This was a HUGE hit for Bobby in the mid 70s. Most everybody I knew(Even hard rock heads) loved this song.

Nazdrowie !!!! ----------------------" to your health "
I'm not Polish. Though I am when I listen to this song.
Słodkie :)
Beyond EXCELLENT. I simply ADORE this song .
this was my mother's favorite song I remembered listening to this song with her when I was 10 years old I love it!!
My dad was born in 1930, was 6’4”, a veteran, and a retired cop. He was lovingly, no nonsense. We went as a family to Branson in the mid 90s and saw Bobby Vinton. My dad shocked us all by standing up and screaming out loud, out of character and out of the blue .. “I love the polish prince!” Vinton came off the stage and down the aisle and took my dad by the hand led him on stage and polka(ed) with him. I don’t think my dad ever went into a gift shop or any shop voluntarily in his life but after the show he actually bought a shirt a mug a magnet a poster a coaster and an ornament.
Love your story!
What a Great Memory, Rick! Thanks for sharing it!
