I think they are looking for a new sound, but I think it is not working. I like the EP but to be honest, I'm just listening to this song just because I like VersaEmerge, otherwise I think I would have said thanks but no thanks. And I'm trying to be as open as possible to the new, but this project called "Versa" means a total reboot. And I'm not happy at all, I feel that something is missing, I like the electric beats but something is missing. I think they don`t want to be compared to other bands, and in the process they perhaps find a new sound, but I think it's a pointless search. Because everything we do will always be compared to something else. Same with music. 
Also I have to say that Sierra has some little problems when she sings. When Sierra sings soft it sounds perfect, sounds exactly like the recording studio. The problem comes when she raises her voice, that's when her vocal cords are over stressed and she starts going out of tune. Maybe they are looking for a style that is not way too stressful for Sierra.

I remember finding them on myspace when they had one song up. Why did they ever sign to Fueled by Ramen?

Yeah I heard that their contract ended with Fueled By Ramen. I love experimental music, but I just feel like this genre of music doesn't do them justice. Like, Sierra has mad vocals, and you wouldn't really know that based on this song. Blake is beyond amazing with his guitar playing abilities but again, this sound doesn't even showcase any of that. I personally just think that they were in their prime during Perceptions back in like 2008.

I love both Paramore & Versaemerge, but you can't compare Sierra & Hayley, their vocals are wayyyyy different and music styles too

i can appreciate that we are both trying for the same thing but youtube is full of people trying to make it big give a live performance and go ahead and write and record some songs i am not as good as you but i have an entire town behind me based on live performances for just my voice you are equipped and good to go show us all what your made of and dont forget its a competition why dont we race

I met them in their awesome little van tooo in ct!! haha They're good people! Even though they're going in a different direction, I see major potential in this band. This proves they can think out of the box and stretch beyond what people may expect them to do. I hope this long break of 'much needed reorganisation' and such does them good cuz Ive been waiting a while to hear what Versa's really got! I think they got what it takes.... c'mon who's willing to stick around for them?

I know paramore is kick ass talented, i just personally don't like the direction they are going but i am still buying their cd it just might grow on me but as long as its a decent tune i love to rock regardless i have just gotten into the bands that you will catch at little venues like exit/in in nasville or marathon music works also in nashville and so on and so forth.

I haven't listened to VersaEmerge in 3 years. And this is the first song I'm listening to since then. Sounds a lot different. It's more electronicated now lol. I'm just happy the band is still together. They're very unique. With that said, I'm definitely interested in picking up their new album when it comes out.
