My daddy n I listened to Vern a lot the. When momma passed away chiseled in Stone was a true song for us then is it raining at your house we called each other Daily and I’d joke with him over the rain I sure miss him 17 yrs now I got him started on Verns music and man we played it all the time he passed away with cancer I drove 100 miles to drive him 60 miles for all day treatments but I’d do it all over again it was everyday mon thru fri for 4 1/2 years God bless him and momma they are resting pain free

I have started listening to Vern again and keep listening to the same ones over again. They are so beautiful and it is as if he feels exactly the same feelings we do and can put them to music. I never tire of them he is The Voice for sure.

I use to go watch Vern in 1985 on the corner of Stewart and Cleveland Avenue at a little Bar, called West Texas Country Club. I never knew back then that he would become the VOICE OF COUNTRY MUSIC. I loved his music then, and i still love it today!! RIP Vern Gosdin.........U left this world way too soon, my friend

They're just as important as the lead as they all added their sound, their skill and phrasing to the vocal.... and made the fine sounds we enjoy for so long. Thanks again.

Kevin Morin Most albums do not list the studio musicians. Although there are ways, it would take time to research who those musicians are. Many CDs have the information on the inserts, but that’s not the case with the older vinyl albums.

Tom, yes I understand they didn't regularly list credits, and if there were any it would also take lots of time posting/listing. Just lamenting the lack of info on these songs.... probably turn out to be 6 or 8 guys (like the LA recordings) ? Thanks again for posting the classic material online.
