Velvet Revolver rock all their music is good and it's a shame that a good artist like Scott Weilder would be taken so soon I know it's been a long time but he still is missed by a lot of people and he had a lot of demons that was too tough to fight I understand cuz I have my own but I fought them and been clean and sober for 3 years and whoever draw that picture of them is a good artist rock on Velvet Revolver

I’ve been doing the same way along with 5FDP. I loved STP, but I really think he along with the rest of the guys seemed to be just that more amazing in Velvet Revolver.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Not that Myles is a bad singer in my opinion, he's absolutely amazing. He was good for songs like Starlight, Not For Me or Far and Away, but when it goes to rockin', I'd take Eric over Myles any day.

Actually, Axl did like some song in it. Loved, even. Due to the slow progress they were making, Slash just thought ''fuck it'' and did a solo record with the songs. Sure, if the songs had been made for GnR, they wouldn't probably be, should I say, as ''heavy'' as they did become, but deep inside it's all the same stuff that would've probably been on next records. I could imagine Axl singing to ''Beggars and Hangers-on'' or ''Monkey Chow''. It ain't that different.

Slash's Snakepit the first WAS stuff Slash composed while in GnR. It was supposed to be for their next record or tour or something, but Axl said nah he didnt like it. So Slash used it in Snakepit, at least the first Snakepit album. As for the new record, it's something he could have composed in GnR if GnR was still around today and had evolved to this point. It's just pure Slash, only grown over time bigger, harder, deeper sound, more mature, and def more RnFnR even than in GnR.

A perfect album never found the place it deserves in Rock history thanks to Scott Weiland's idiotic behaviour.

Scott Weiland is amazing, hell this band is just great! Bring back Velvet Revolver!

If you don't know about Steve Roach perhaps you should look into him since he is pretty much the father of Ambient music. Lastly, a minimalist artist, Rena Jones (Indra's Web is the best one) should be recognized for her awesome work.

Maybe those are mainstream artists in Brazil but there aren't even close to mainstream here. Muse and The Black Keys are, but that's it. Mainstream = on the radio often.

I liked Eguana but it's not mainstream. Mainstream is Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kesha, Nicky Minaj, and shit like that.

MopTop, Angra, Korpiklaani and Eluveitie aren't underground. In fact, all of them (except moptop) are 'famous' in their genre.

MopTop sounds like a lot punk bands such as The Strokes.
Eguana is ambient and the polar opposite of mainstream. A good artist, but the very definition of underground.
Blueneck = Coldplay.
The Black Keys = Smashmouth.
Muse = 80's with modern synthesizers.
Angra=Yngvie Malmstein + Dream Theater
Senmuth is a little different but an amalgamation of cliche metal/ambience.
Eluveitie = Swiss Metal + Celtic Woman
Korpiklaani=Fin Folk Metal

It's all underground except Muse and Black Keys.

Not necessarily underground. There are a lot of nice bands that are 'mainstream'. But they're not on the radios as much as they should.

We're talking about how we got to this point. I think I am on to something here when I say it happened right here with Velvet Revolver. In the 90's music wasn't all shit. Now it is. Sure there will always be hits and misses but back then there was something for everyone. Today there's almost nothing for anyone lol.
