that motif that the singer keeps using is getting pretty old imo. ascending dotted eighths to the 5th (?) and ending on the 4th (?) is littered throughout the entire album. already wasn't a fan of cleans in VoM but whatever you gotta appeal to the 15 year olds now I guess. sellout tactic

That's his sound dude, he isn't acting on it. When you find your music identity you embrace it.

This album is conceptual, so to add motifs to it makes a lot of sense. If you ask me, it's more impressive to insert musical themes throughout an album with subtle differences rather than have everything be completely random. His vocal style has pop influences no doubt but considering the lyricism, screams, and syncopated rhythms in the vocal parts aside from the instrumental parts, this band isn't selling out.

People that think the lyrics are cheesy haven’t listened to the whole album or at least looked at the lyrics for the whole album to understand that this song concludes a story. Not the most intense song by technical terms, but impactful nonetheless. \m/

So I've listened now to the whole album and what shall I say?
- It has some nice, interesting ideas
- sometimes they get over the top with experimenting, making the different instruments not work well together
- I think the mixing was bettet in the previous album (though that standard is hard do uphold)
- For me the best songs are the "follow me" and "tyrant" mostly because they have no cleans (cleans just lose me, I like very hard sound)

And now gotta listen to some TAIM

Although they are two separate bands with their own unique sounds, you can tell a few of these songs were very Periphery influenced.... love both bands but periphery can't be touched by VOM

This is such a great song, as is the entire album! I'll be purchasing it soon enough. Really fantastic progressive metalcore. I love this band's earlier works, and own Eclipse on physical copy, but compared to deathcore, this style is so much more technical and amazing! Your cleans and growls and screams are on point, and I find it hard to believe it's all one guy. But still, great job! lol. Hope everyone here agrees!
