@suna sasori Born Of Osiris I can't exactly label as Deathcore. Their more along the lines of progressive death metal, I like to call Djent regardless of what others say. That was a good album though. Now Arise was an awesome track.

@suna sasori Once again, Born of Orisis doesn't seem to be your average Deathcore band. They use slight use of cleans here and there, they utilize keyboards and synths and they have sort of Djent type sound in their music. They do have Deathcore vocals but they don't fall in the category as a Deathcore band.

I honestly didn't like it at first, loved the first 3 albums. But after hearing it a few times and seeing them play some of it live it really is amazing.

It's something different. These guys broke "rules" so to speak, and I think this album is an absolute masterpiece. Every song is so tight and the breakdowns are damn crispy. I cannot wait until their next release.

Man when I heard this album back in that day laying down in my bed all I could imagine was that I was staring at a city from the horizon being hovered by something dark and some parts of the city was floating in the air.

I honestly think that all of Veil of Maya's stuff is like that. I find myself overlooking some songs at first, then growing to love them.

VOM HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE BAND FOR 3 YEARS OW AND THEY ALWAYS GIVE ME NEW REASONS WHY THEY STILL ARE, keep up the sick albums you guys.

I agree with you, this is the album that got me into VoM, but once I got into their older albums like ATSA and TCMC, I found that I liked those a lot better because each song seemed to lead into another with a lot more punch than the other, but this is a great album too that shows how technical Veil of Maya can be while still having their unique Veil of Maya sound that they have with all of their other stuff.

i love their riffs and their breakdowns. why cant you have both and be a solid band? their breakdowns are very technical as well as their riffs

Vicious circles was the first released off the album, of course it has more views.

Probably the most underrated song on the album. Better than Vicious Circles yet that has like 200,000 views...makes no sense.

Why do people freak out when they find out VoM uses 6 string guitars? It's mainly only drop B. The Contortionist is in drop G# on a 6 string, now that's nuts.

I agree with you on "no catchy riffs", this album is pretty crazy, the drummer (Sam Appleboim) has taken the lead on this album by extraordinary drumming, while the guitarist (Marc Okubo) had to follow a little, which is so different style of playing that VOM used to.. It's a great album, less technical but WITH PASSION AND POWER!

I wasnt denying others had better opinions of the album im very aware and i respect others opinions completely i just feel this one doesnt consist of the same elements as A Common Man's Collapse which is also a good thing because i believe bands need to experiment to really develop their sound, im simply stating i hope this isnt the end product of all Marc's effort

This album dissapoints so much. i hate to be the dude to complain on a video but this bands first abum made me feel like some strange entity was engulfing my soul and carving my path in front me this one gives me gas.

Really, because last time i checked, every single song on this record was catchy to me the first time i heard it. Maybe your listening skills haven't developed fully yet.

I don't understand the hate on this album, I think it's really good. It's one of those where you have to listen more to appreciate the cohesive nature of it, its not always gonna be listen to it once and BOOM wow Im in love. I feel that people can't tell that catchy-ness or a popular, edgy sound will not necessarily go hand in hand with a stimulating musical idea. What are you listening for? Don't scan for anything, digest the piece for what it is. Music isn't about preconceived notions.
