Although I fucking love his clean vocals, I do feel that a lot of the cleans on this album were kinda unnecessary and kinda didn't fit. Kinda. Especially on certain songs. But overall, great album.

I don't mind their cleans but this one goes a little too far.

"All things set aside" and "a common man's collapse" were the only albums in existence when i 1st heard VoM and i was instantly addicted , i also made this comment: "this is like "rush" for the 21st century" and, of course, someone, shit all over that remark but, i didn't mean that they sounded like them, only that the complexity of the song s reminded me of the 1st time i heard "rush" when i was a kid but now, i just heard this song for the 1st time and it does sound somewhat like "rush" especially the guitar and the vocals. Haha, kidding, not the vocals , of course, but the guitar really does. At the start anyways...

musically these guys are awesome live but I haven't found a live performance where the vocalist honors the album material. Post production is where this band truly shines which is alright but I don't think I'll pay to see them live.
