I love the dynamic between these two in a weirdly guilty way. Like... Graverobber spends basically the whole movie casually trying to impress Shilo and definitely wants to get it on with her, but he's not rapey, he's pretty helpful in general. Even the fact that he wants to sleep with her is fairly subtle, like he's trying to pursue her but not intimidate her.

There's also a couple of ways to read this scene, the wiki claims it comes before the opera and that Shilo believes the Graverobber has her cure, another theory is that one of the drugs her dad was giving her was Zydrate and she needs to get it from Graverobber after the movie. If you take the second meaning, Graverobber is basically teaching her to get her own fixes so she doesn't have to do anything to get it, it's really protective (even if it is still just trying to get in her guts lol).

Also worth noting that when surrounded by hookers offering him sex with drugs, he appears to give it away for free. Even Amber has to do a full seduction (Come Try My New Parts) to get him going. There's nothing to suggest he typically trades sex for drugs and he doesn't try to do so with Shilo. It's also worth remembering he can be shot on sight for harvesting zydrate, so I mean, it's a bit of a stretch, but you could totally say he's risking his life to give painkillers to addicts who would harm themselves getting their fix from other people, and that he could totally take advantage of Shilo (like 8 different times in the movie) but never tries to do so in any way.

They could definitely have gone further with him and people still would have loved him, but I kinda like the fact that he's got this pervy anti-hero dark knight thing going for him.

there’s a lot of discourse on whether graverobber’s intentions with shilo were sexual or not. if they are in canon, fuck that i’m going with my headcanons thank you. i believe that after the events of the movie, shilo becomes graverobber’s accomplice or starts working for him or something. i see graverobber as more of a mentor to her than anything, mainly because he sets most of the movie’s events into motion and introduces shilo to new things. anyways, shilo becoming a graverobber would connect back to shilo’s “genetic emancipation” because being a graverobber (or working for one) is nearly the exact opposite of nathan’s job as the repo man. like graverobber says in needle through a bug, the dead bodies won’t feel it or even care when zydrate is taken from them, this is a polar opposite to what nathan does to his victims. being a graverobber would also fulfill shilo’s need to be outside and be among the people she was taught to fear. this would also give her connections to the new geneco (or more connections than she already has anyways) due to amber’s zydrate addiction. i think that would lead to graverobber making shilo sell zydrate to amber because he’s scared of her or doesn’t want to fuck her as payment for zydrate. shilo’s connections with geneco night would also entail her officially meeting the largo kids and possibly helping reform geneco. reformation of geneco would connect back to shilo’s promise to nathan that she would change the world and to graverobbers claim that geneco will only survive as a company if it undergoes serious changes. that’s just what makes sense to me but idk this movie really fucking needed a sequel

This came before she ambushed her dad as the Repo man. You can tell by the dress she's wearing—it was black and fluffy and she was wearing said dress when she was in the room waiting for him as soon as she got off the elevator. When she actually confronted him, she was in a skin-tight dress and that goes for the rest of the opera as well, including post-opera.

I ship Shilo Wallace and Eric Draven. Why? Eric Draven was resurrected as a vigilante one year after his and his fiance's death and lived beyond the year of 2056 where he meets Shilo Wallace sequestered in the haven of her bedroom. The doctor and her father, Nathaniel Wallace, has been immorally drugging his daughter for an illness she didn't have—a rare blood disease. The Crow befriends Shilo and cures her of her disease by using the puncture wounds on her arm and strenuously pumping her father's drugs right out of her system in a continuous stream of chemicals. Nathaniel Wallace was dead. He just didn't know it yet.

I don't think Graverobber calling her beautiful is meant as a real admittance of attraction. In my area we'd say things like that if someone did a big favour for you or simply helping you with something. "You're a hero for doing that for me" "Aw, you legend!" To me that's just his way of saying "good idea" for thinking to use the Zytrate as a light ^.^

Terrance Zdunich has alluded to Graverobber's intentions with Shilo being sexual/romantic, explaining that the song lyrics for "Needle Through A Bug" (a deleted scene that plays during the credits of the movie) are all an innuendo. He has also said that Graverobber's cry of "GRAAAAAAAVES" during "21st Century Cure" was to flip off authority and to impress Shilo. Graverobber also does things such as bidding her farewell after "Zydrate Anatomy" by kissing his hand and imitating a curtsy, or staring at her through the song "Zydrate Anatomy".

I am firmly against Shilo x Grave robber so when ever he says the 'you're beautiful' part I either see it as him as just trying to manipulate her into getting him down or it is meant more as a compliment in general. Like when someone is said to be a beautiful person, it does not just refer to their looks but as someone with positive traits, so here he is complimenting her mind more so than him actually being attracted to her. Also a reminder that Shilo is 17, and Graverobber is clearly like 30 or something so it adds more reasons for them not to get together... You know, besides the fact there is not really any chemistry between them and he spends like half the movie getting her in trouble for his own entertainment.

"You're beautiful" is sometimes said when someone has a brilliant idea. That's what I thought Graverobber meant here.

Viper V oh the only reason it slips past in this movie is because in all the places this is filmed the legal age is 16 or 17- so technically they would be allowed to be together. Not to mention the actor for Graverobber actually said he wrote the ship in an interview and this song was supposed to represent his attraction to Shilo.

Apparently his actor confirmed its meant sexually tho. Considering how Repo kind of runs the gamut when it comes to taboo material (aside from rape i think) it would be unsuprising to see some almost-pedophilia.

What I heard is that they made this song when the story was that her cure was suppose to be zydrate. I don't really know tho.

She doesn't have blood on her back, so this must have been just before the opera. That is why she says "I'm here to earn my cure", because she is at the opera to get it from Rotti. Then GR tells her its actually the zydrate and she goes to take it but its her mothers body (missing eyes because they were given to Mag) and she stops. She goes to the opera and all that fun stuff happens and then during the epilogue scene when GR is summing it all up you can see her take the zydrate from him because its her cure

The body belongs to Marni. Nathan preserved Marni's body after she died and put her in a special room behind a wall with a window in it. It looks like a holographic picture but it's actually her body. You can see it in Nathan and Shilo's home at a few points. Anyway, after Marni died, her eyes were used to make Mags holographic eyes. This is why the corpse has empty sockets. Nathan is hesitant to repossess Mags eyes because they were once Marni's (and because Mag is both Marni's best friend and Shilo's godmother). In the grand scheme of things, this scene would take place right before the Opera where Mag dies. Shilo hasn't yet figured out that her dad has been poisoning her for 17 years, and due to some misguidance from Rotti, she believes that Zydrate is her cure.

Hope that clears this whole mess up.

The eyes are mags, in the original story mag got her eyes after Marni died and they were hers. It was slightly altered in the movie though. But yeah I assume she couldn't help him down because she couldn't see?

Guys she's wearing the dress from the opera. If you realize he was MIA during the opera. So after she left the opera she went looking for the grave robber to start choosing her own destiny and he was her only real friend. Then after this scene is the epilogue and the person who takes the Z from Graverobber's hand is Shiloh not Amber.

Shiloh is supposed to go through a series of tests to find her cure, this being one of them. That's all we know though, because there's probably more scenes they cut out.


Also, the dead body in this scene is her moms that Rotti stole from her house, creepy.

You can tell this is during the opera because Shilo was wearing a fluffy dress before she hit her dad on the head so it's obvious that this wouldn't take place after Genetic Emancipation.

Jonathan Perry this scene is said to have taken place while the opera is happening. Apparently Rotti paid the GR to steal Marni's body (that also explains why Shiloh was given her mothers dress which you see Marni wearing earlier on in the film) this was part of one of the tests that Rotti made for Shiloh and they chose to take Marni's body so that she'd discover it; thus finding out about all the secrets her father is keeping from her

It is Marni, because Shilo has her hair. Nathan turned Marni's hair into a wig for Shilo, and thus the reason why the corpse can't be Mag because no one would dare get rid of Mag's gorgeous hair.

Right just to clear things up, the woman who's dead is marni, shilo's mother. To begin with mag was blind (hence blind mag) but Marni have mag her eyes. If you listen to commentary on the DVD you find out a lot more but there's quite a few flaws in this film

During the scene before night surgeon when talking about taking out Mag you hear Nathan say but Mag's eyes are before being cut off. There is also the fact that her preserved body was taken if you paid attention during Tonight We Are Betrayed.

The body is Marni, Shilo's mother. Rotti sent GraveRobber to steal her body but Amber came sniffing for Zydrate, stole it all, and left him tied up. Shiloh stumbled on him when Rotti sent her that way on another quest to earn her cure. She started extracting the Zydrate before she realized that it was her mother's body. The scene goes after Shiloh meets Rotti and GraveRobber and before Mag comes to her house.

It's Marni. After she died, her eyes went to Mag (so she could see again) and her hair is Shiloh's wig. Her body was preserved in the house. That's why the corpse isn't decayed, and why she's missing her eyes and hair. Also this song happens before the operah so it can't be Mag because shebwould still be alive.

The guy who plays GraveRobber (Terrance Zdunich) as a voice that just... I can't really describe it, it oozes sex appeal, without sounding cheap. He honestly is talented. I could listen to him red the phonebook and not get bored. Sucks they cut this from the final movie though, it's a wonderful song :D

So the story goes when he rejected amber her goons then robbed him for what was his remaining zydrate and bound him....and then shiloh on the hunt for her "cure" discover him and they share this moment and an incredible song!!

There's a whole deleted subplot where Rotti decides Shilo has to prove herself. He makes Graverobber steal Marni's body. I think the point was to make Shilo harvest the Z from her. They thought it was too convoluted and not so important to the plot as a whole, so they cut it.

In the original Mag did get Marni's eyes. They changed it a bit for the movie.

Nathan's the one who kept Marni preserved. If you look closely during Legal Assassin he's got her at the end of the hallway behind glass, there's a whole cut subplot where Graverobber steals Marni's body at Rotti's request, as one of Rotti's tests for Shilo. So I guess the question is whether the guy who cuts people up for a living (and enjoys it) and makes dead bodies sing is the type for necrophilia.

If you listened to the song he sang, you can hear him saying how much he really thinks his kids are rotten and brats. Even before he died he hated them.

Rotti was mad that it was caught on film. First rule of being famous: NEVER GET BAD PRESS, AND NEVER BE BLACKMAILED.
Also, Rotti was, like Nathan is, completely obsessed with Marni. Why wouldn't he?

She's eventuall made to use her mother's body as a decoy for Nathan, which is the scene immediately preceding Let The Monster Rise.
