I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Vaughan in concert 4 times. The last was about 3 weeks before he died in that damn helicopter crash. He was truly 1 of a kind, and he is ranked right up there with the very best. Good night Mr. Vaughan. RIP.

My favorite SRV song ..in 1986 in Montreal i was yelling my head off i wanted to hear that song more than anything else..he did not deceive me he played it and this is the best concert i have ever seen and i have seen plenty...The next day i learned his father had died 2 days prior and he had just returned from his funeral...there was something special in the air that night he played his heart out and the crowd was memorized ...thanks Stevie

I'm an old "Garage band" boy from the 60's. I didn't know anything about SRV as we only had local FM radio and he didn't get any airplay. He opened for his brother and when he came out on stage playing Scuttle Buttin' I could have died. That moment changed my life. I have always watched the fretting hand of my heroes to get an idea of how they can do their magic. Stevie's playing eludes me to this day. I now believe he just grabbed on to the neck and the music flowed from his soul. BTW I read that he once broke the neck on his guitar playing with such intensity. I can't verify this but I have no reason to doubt.

Its still a live music venue and a great place for a chicken fried steak.The mountain scenes were at a place west of Austin called Enchanted Rock. Stevie was a one of a kind artist. Austin Texas was a very cool place to live in the 60s 70s and 80s
