WebNstyne dude... wow. So I found this tune back in the day on the 411VM skate video. It immediately reminded me of some old song I used to know and love. This was in the days when Napster had just come out. I did my best to find that other tune. It was a project I’d return to over a span of months.

A few years later, I’m watching this truly weird and cool movie one night - Donny Darko. And wouldn’t you know it, that tune finally comes up. Fucking “Under The Milky Way Tonight”!!! When they’re at the party! Man, I flipped out. Watched credits and still had to sift through which song it was. But I had finally found it.

Both great tunes. Thank god I skateboarded. Opened a lot of cool doors for me.

Absolutely. Adulthood is a reality check for sure. I miss the days of slamming and getting up the next day and it not really hurting. Gah, age 30s.
Side note: From reading these old 411 song tracks, I'm beginning to gather that 411 (maybe Josh Friedberg in particular), had a huge hand in propelling certain bands into stardom, just because that issue of 411 hit and most all skaters loved said song and style. I love Vast, I love Hummmr, I love Patchworks, the list goes on.

Listening to this song brings back memories of seeing VAST live at CBGB right before the club closed down in NYC several years back. That was awesome.

fuck yeah man! 411vm, my grandmother got me a subscription to 411 for my little 'book club'.... she knew what it was, but was supportive of my skateboarding. I was so lucky having her growing up! really miss her!

Is it just me, or is this clip kinda noisey? Like...there's this high-pitched static or something...unfortunately, it just annoying enough to bring up.

Anyways, I've been a fan since Visual Audio Sensory Theater, and it's a shame he got all fat and indie rock. :-p

@marsbardude Man I think it's in 411 episode 47 or 37. I remember it though the session starts out in a park with some ledges, good clip.
