Vannelli, Gino - Love Me Now Lyrics

Yes I know how much you love me
But can't you realize I'd cause you just pain
Cause men like me capricious and free
Live life alone and confused
Yet loving whoever they choose

Yes I know how much you need me
But I just patronize with this affair
Cause all my life I've needed to be
A man with a mind full of craves
Living to learn from each phase

Love me now while I'm here
Love you this man
Take me as I am
The storm in your life

And hear me out I've something to say
Love is a moment in time
And now that it's yours and it's mine
Love me now while I'm here
Love you this man
Take me as I am
The storm in your life

If you like this, perhaps click
    Gino Vanelli essential works
on my home page. I don't make a penny for it. I'm just paying it forward.
I would post the link, but a certain jerkoff domain makes my comment invisible if I give the link.

According to this 1975,song'lyric' 'Love Me Now,' Mr.Gino Vannelli, once had his own heart, broken on pieces. . .:For me, a woman, his music'lyrics, are therapy: supposedly."

Saw Gino with my daughter two nights ago and there were a number of songs that easily evoke feelings. He has a unique skill for the right chords and that stunning voice unchanged after 4 decades... My kid delighted to get pics with him.
    Fantastic musician

In the 70’s yes Gino was great. I am the biggest fan you can imagine. Since 1974. But lately I’m always thinking Joe had so much to do with it. The keyboard sound set the tone and vibe to make Gino’s voice just explode exponentially to me. That whole background of music made Gino and the vocals so dynamic and to a certain extent dramatic and made for more more emotion. Often Gino physically and vocally reacted to certain beats and rhythms. Joe really had quite a bit to do with it all. I’m certain Gino is aware and thankful.

the girls were crazy about this guy. i remember he came to Cleveland and i took my cousins and sister to see him. the women were screaming for him to take off his shirt. i stood up and took mine off and got clobbered :D. haha. true story.

  15. j.... r....

When I was in the operating room as beginner surgeon this was the music that made things went very very fine.
Thanks Gino for helping save people in El Salvador in the middle of the civil war. God Bless You.

  25. P.... R....

love the synth bass and Graham Lear, drummer on this record. Fantastic .. before f&^ing ProTools digital editing.. This is real. Real time playing recorded without correcting everything... that's musicianship

  26. t.... ....

Thought I was the only one who loved this song...

  27. M.... ....

04:17 and can't sleep. Spendin time in Youtube listning to Gino Vanelli...great tracks..great memories...

Adoro ouvi-lo, suas canções me fazem sonhar ...

I was in love with this song was out 40 years ago and I found that love again. I still love him.

  30. o.... o....

Wonderfull....toys this guy's know how to used...

  31. C.... J....

How smooth is this song. It would be even more interesting if it had a slighty faster disco beat. I dare you to try this song at 1.25 speed. Fast or slow, this song is already wonderful and fitting for Gino. BTW, it should have been a big hit for him, even if it hadn't charted.

  32. G.... B....

Just what we told the girls back in the day!

  33. c.... r....

0:44 hahah I see we never change, 29.

  36. E.... ....

one of the sexiest songs ever recorded. Love the whole album!

  37. S.... C....

Not one soulful-singer with emotions, can express it so well...maybe ROD Stewart, yes!!!

    S.... C....

Rod has a voice but raspy and it can get you tired after Do you think I'm...and Down & out
Gino has a unique smooth powerful voice (down to this day) and besides writes extraordinary songs. The Scottish bloke doesn't

  38. S.... C....

This came after "Crazy Life LP!!!

  39. S.... C....

Crossover from Grand-Funk Railroad to this 1972!!! Thanks GINO!!!

  40. S.... C....

    Yes,Graham Lear's drumming is surealistic...

  41. S.... C....

Gino is & always will live in the memory-banks of our minds!!!

  42. B.... M....

Whose hand is that on the table? It really freaks me out.

  43. w.... ....

My favorite also. Saw him when I lived in Montréal 3 times. Him and his brother were locals and already popular in our scene. What talent. His bio is interesting ;)

  44. b.... m....

Hansome Devil 😊TOO fine to look at

  45. R.... R....

One word for this man and his music: DELICIOUS! In my 20's, he spoke to my soul and now, almost 70, he still melts my heart.

    R.... R....

    Same here.

  46. C.... D....

When you do not listen to music across all genres you miss out!

  47. M.... L....

    i love his music

    QUE VIVA LA MUSICA......

  51. B.... B....

Those Vanelli boys sure are majestic as keyboardists. PLAY LOUDLY.

  52. B.... M....

This song is total intimacy ...that bass riff is the song. ❤️💫

    B.... M....

Quite dominant really, same as the side A of "A pauper in paradise"

  53. B.... M....

Did you notice his hands in this photograph? One looks like a man's hand and one looks like a woman's hand. Strange

  54. E.... ....

one of the sexiest songs ever recorded.

    E.... ....

His music tends to evoke those feelings. In part is the incredible capacity to write the right chords, (those that make couples be together) and partly bc of that voice the guy has so special

  55. J.... H....

December 30 2017 .. Still get Goose Bumps !!!! 1977 I first Discover Gino .. Thanks to Carlton Barker ... God Bless his Soul !!!!

  56. C.... M....

    Awesome

  57. L.... P....

Anyone who can use "capricious" in a song deserves respect.......

    L.... P....

    Agreed!

    L.... P....

I was 7 yrs old growing up listening 2 Gino..I'd have his lyric sheet in one hand and a dictionary in the other gleaning from his vast vocabulary.. and yes, "capricious" was one of the words I learned lol!

  58. s.... c....

This is the LP that includes Keep Walking, etc.

  59. F.... D....

    LA BASE

  60. T.... A....

I wore the grooves out on this record.

    S.... E....

i had to buy 3 copies after wearing out the first two..lol

  64. B.... J....

You know how sometimes it seems like a song was written just for you? When my boyfriend (later to be husband) treated me like shit in 1976, this is the song I always put on the turntable.

  65. r.... ....

I'd love to hear just the drum tracks on this amazing album; Graham Lear is remarkable! Thank you CLR for bringing this album and so many blessings to my life.

    ..

  75. J.... R....

One of the few blue eyed soul brothers! He was on Soul train and the sisters loved him...

    J.... R....

I doubt it was his blue eyes they loved! Just sayin.....

    J.... R....

LOL Barbara. Now you KNOW that the term "blue-eyed soul" simply meant the white folks who participated!

    J.... R....

    Barbara love you!!

    J.... R....

James Robertson his eyes always looked black to me.

    J.... R....

@Barbara Mowrey hahaha medium-brown! And I can tell, my dad had them blue while mum dark brown just like Natalie wood or Selena Gomez

  76. J.... B....

what quite a few are not a ware of,is how gino is in my mind anyway ,,,, with out question vary much a multitalented star,,,,piana, drums, percussion and guitar, bass ,well to some it up,i really cant think of a instrument that he doesent play, from 0---,, to---"10,,,he's with. out. question a. 10

  77. D.... T....

One of my favorite songs of his

  78. B.... A....

gino vanelli and Barry manilla are my forever greatest singer's and songwriters manilow for his songs primarily about love but gino omg the varied ranges vocally omg the music I mean I honestly wish I could have stayed my whole life in the 70' a tell you the truth all the music I need are the abovementioned and pat methany and michael Jackson. good for life

    B.... A....

wow great minds think a like dido.

  79. b.... ....

I wish someone would upload Storm At Sunup and Love Me Now, together like they are on the record!

    b.... ....

+blueeyesol Yes, you read my mind.

    b.... ....

yes I agree I love how they collide together.

    b.... ....

Here it is, although with the transition destroyed. Just use your imagination.
Or just hit the L key on your keyboard precisely at 6:36 and you'll be fine.

  80. g.... r....

cuando la música era verdaderamente eso.........música!

  81. R.... E....

Excellent! This is such a smooth and transcending song!!! The way the keyboards accent this tune and the groove, reminds me a tad ( just a tad, with that change in tempo ) bit of the tune "Howzat" by the Australian band Sherbet from '76 ( another great tune ).

    R.... E....

+Racine Evans Yes, that's an excellent call, RE. Those resolving bass and mid range harmonies are totally reminiscent of Howzat. You should listen to Swing out Sister for more of the same. Try "Circulate" and "Beautiful Mess". I think you'll thank me.

    R.... E....

    Understood, will do. Thanks!!

  82. a.... p....

    waooow song of amazing....

  83. T.... C....

Such a vocal range. To see him in concert is always great..

  84. K.... R....

Complicateda and hard to listening to - - - Marvelous of course !!! Strange melody, dense harmony to the point where you're kind of lost, and then you go again - - I gives you a little bit and then it takes it all away from youm... complicated in deed and then kind of friendly... It´s like a riddle for your ears,,, Marvelous - - -

    K.... R....

Kamillo ReyVegas thats exactly why it gives me a stronger emotional response than simpler more diatonic music too

  85. s.... ....

great song...but... that chest hair... lol

  86. M.... X....

  87. d.... d....

    so cool

  88. F.... i....

OMG! Another beautiful melody.. So many great artists in the world and I think they are not letting me sleep tonight ... just spending time on you tube. ❤❤❤

  89. T.... A....

God this is some good stuff!!!!  One of my favs!!!!

  90. B.... D....

yea, he got a sort of raw deal from that image. Back in those days the in thing was Jackson Browne, Eagles, and rock stars were ugly as shit. That was cool then. So now we have SO many model types who are pop stars..i.e. Ricky Martin. same w/ the women. In today's pop universe looks are critical.. it's a jungle out there and a artist needs all the goods.. Gino had all the goods. and he was also jazzed based w/ was a tough sell in those days, but he did it.

    B.... D....

yep you nailed it.... it was his looks and a lot of guys are jealous!

  91. K.... B....

This photo totally cracks me up! You go on with your bad self Gino, and be "capricious and free" with the poodle hair cut and unbuttoned  shirt. Did you pick this bitch up with a roofie and an autographed photo? You macho stud, you....

    K.... B....

Hey Keith- It was the 70s. Don't blame Gino for that, and yeah, I know, using more than one syllable words in a song is hilario us.

    K.... B....

What is YOUR problem Keith?   Gino is married to the same women he's been with for decades & decades...  This was just explaining on how SOME men live like that by choice and warn the women they encounter.  All done for adv in the 70's -  CHILL man...   Go rain on somebody else's parade please!

    K.... B....

@66littlebutterflies  Chill out! its a friggin joke!

    K.... B....

@ Keith Barnhart she's looking out the window like " oh s**t not again" lol

  92. t.... ....

You can tell that pictured is staged. 99.9 % of his female fans would have been all over him..lol.

    t.... ....

I get what you're saying, but "the picture is staged" had me laughing so hard

    t.... ....

    @GoldenKnight582
