Vandross, Luther - She's A Super Lady Lyrics

[Chorus: x2]
She's a Superlady,
She is, too much,
Wish I could make her mine,

What a superlady,
A-ha, alright,
She's so fine,

[Verse 1:]
Not long ago I was,
A sad and lonely boy,
Did not know how to get better,

Then heaven up above,
Sent me a super love,
And now I'm happy forever.

No one wants to believe,
I've got a perfect love,
They say I'm just talking crazy,

But I can prove it's true,
If you'l allow me to,
Tell you 'bout my Super Lady

[B-Section:]
She's all that I could explore,
She's more than a dream,
She's my everthing

[Chorus x2]

[Verse 2:]
Whoever thought I would,
Be feeling half this good,
The world for me is new place,

I'll drink to happiness,
Because our love's the best,
The wine for me has a new taste,

I'll let my lady know,
I'll never let her go,
Forever I'm gonna hold on,

She said she feel's the same,
Don't wanna play no game,
Just wants our love to live on and on,

[B-Section 2:]
Wish I could fly to the sky,
And write out her name,

Climb to the top of the world,
And loudly exclaim,
She's my everything
(She's my everything)

(Oo-oo) I love (that superlady) [x4]

She 's much, too much,
She's got that super love
She's much, too much for my heart
[Repeat til end]

Bass! Funny thing I remember is when this song first came out I saw it on a TV show. They had Luther come out on stage and pretend that he was playing the bass. I don't remember the show but he wasn't well known then and the song was just taking off. Of course, his voice was so awesome and I never saw him with an instrument again, didn't matter though, rest is history, rest in Peace.

  43. D.... B....

She's A Superlady and Sugar and Spice are dynamite couple and it just describes the way I would want my man to think of me; especially in a time period where there so many of our man whose negative description of women takes away their confident in actually being with someone that they truly know, like love and won't flip the script with some, "Oh by the way she's crazy, or bipolar, or some other type of psuedo disorder, to feel secure as her lover. I feel the song is saying she is everything I've sung, and nothing else or nothing less than.

    D.... B....

    Dorothy Burch luv ya

  44. T.... M....

Y'all must b crazy. Luther blew this joint like no one else could, Y should he have given this to anyone. I don't think no one else could have done it justice, mayb Will Downing but he wasn't n the mix back then, he wasn't known then. This is one of my all time fav's of Luther off of his classic album, Never too much which spun several hits and b side jams frm his first solo project. 1981 was the year, good times, good music and gr8 memories. Y'all betta ask somebody.

@myfunkyway9 c'mon son... Luther was one of the most in demand backup singers since he was 17-18 years old. He's song on more records than you can imagine. He's a great writer and producer, sure, but he's first and foremost one of the greatest singers of his generation, hands down. Watch his live rendition of "a house is not a home" here on youtube and try to disagree
