I understood that from your first comment. What I was saying is that usually, when a black r&b artist or their music crosses over to white audiences, the music industry labels it pop. Then, the public starts to do the same. However, just because white audiences listen to or buy r&b music, does not make it "pop".

Note I put the word "pop" in quotes. Maybe I should make it plainer -- this was the second album White people paid attention to.

Luther never made any "pop" albums. This and his "Give Me the Reason" albums were both R&B, as were all his albums. Its just that they crossed over to white audiences. Some mistakenly call R&B pop when it crosses over.

@mrtyroneb I agree with you 100% on that. There are so many songs that Luther did that never got the air play they deserved due to mainstream kiddie music and not real music as this man put out. I have every single album (vinyl, cassette, cd's and video dvd's) that Luther has ever put out & to be totally honest.......there really hasn't been a "Greatest hits" cd for this man. If a REAL one was ever made it would take atleast 2 days to hear all of the greatest since Luther never sang a bad note!

Once in a lifetime someone comes along that has the gift 2 change peoples lives. Luther Vandross, "THE VOICE", did exactly that 4 me. I have an anxiety disorder that literally kept me in my house for 2 years & would hav BAD panic attacks. But with Luther.....he made all that change. All I had 2 do was listen 2 Luther & his music would calm me so when he sang "I can make it better" He really did for me. Thank you Luther! No one did it better and to me...no one ever will!! Rest peacefully Luther

Was 12 when this came out. One of his best albums along with 'Give Me The Reason' and 'Never Too Much'.

I still have this record (Vinyl!)..one of Luther's best album ..every single song is well written from lyrics to instruments...add his voice= pure magic!

It's songs like this one that made me a diehard Luther Vandross fan back in the 1980s. I've loved this song ever since I first heard it in '88, when I was living in the West Indies.

OH MY GOD!!!!!! Finally! Thankyou for uploading this tune......you have saved me the trouble as i noticed a while ago it had not been uploaded and was gutted as its one of Luthers best! I love this soooooo much, its a beautiful song! Thanks for a clear version too as it would have been gutting to hear a cack one lol. Such a loss to the music industry. I was brought listening to Luther and think he is a legend!
