When I was young, I've struggled with many things that caused me to suffer when I would sleep. I would wake up screaming also having anxiety attacks after waking up. When I found this song, it was the medicine to my peace and sanity. Hearing this song makes me feel better.

My brother passed in April and I've heard this song everywhere since then. I had never heard it and now I LOVE IT <3 He called me Emmylou

the first time i heard this song it was live and unexpected. Vance Joy was the opener for a different band and i hadn't even heard of him. i had just ended a three year relationship and was pretty emotional about the whole thing and when he starts "you are loved you are loved" at the end my GOSH i just started weeeeeeping it was too much.
this is a really beautiful song. it always makes my heart a bit squeezy. its so tender and insistent. like he NEEDS her to know, because she might not realize it herself. anyway. one of my favorites
