When I was in 1st grade I was super shy and didn't really know anyone. I was sitting at my desk one day and this boy walked up to me and sat next to me. We didn't say a word to each other, we just sat in silence. The next day, it happened again, but this time we waved at each other. The next day it happened again and we waved and then we said Hi to each other. The next day, all the same, but we had a miniature conversation.
We continued this until we were in 3rd grade and by then I definitely called him my best friend. He came over to my house for the first time and we ate pizza and we talked about jokes and funny stuff. We did that Saturday until 6th grade. Once I was in middle school, we kinda had a crush on each other. I told him first in 8th grade. In our freshman year we started dating and we had our first kiss. We continued that way for a while until we kinda decided it would be better to just be friends again, it hurt me so bad. In a few weeks he went on a road trip by himself. A week went by and I got a call from his mom. She called and said that something had happened. He wasn't answering her calls and he wouldn't call her back. Another week went by and I got another call. This time from the police, he had a necklace that had my phone number on it and they found his body on the side of the road. It was a very emotional time for me and a lot of things went wrong that month. I'm better now and know he would want that for me.

My bf and I were singing this song while we bicycled with one hand on the handle of the bike, and one hand locked together with each other's. It was cold winter, and my lips were chapping. My breath was showing and so was his, like smoke. I was trying to catch my breath while singing. I had a hoodie that was so long my eyes were almost obscured whilst he had the warmest hands in the whole world. He was not in the right note, but we kept singing and I knew then (just as I knew before when I had an epiphany) that everything will be alright and that I will spend the rest of my life with him. This is our song and will be played in our wedding. :")

This song for me is the best on the album, the lyrics, I can relate to in many different ways. I would absolutely love to know where the lyrics come from!? The softness and light violin in the back ground gives it that powerful kick which in my opinion makes this song it stand out from the rest. I really hope there is a live version done such as the live ones for “Like Gold” and “We’re going home” that was done recently, unfortunately I’ve not been able to get tickets for your upcoming show which I’m very gutted about but would love for this to be recorded live.
