Sometimes I think that Van can not sing anything new for those who are long time fans, but then I realize that I'm wrong, and whether it's trully new or not doesn't matter, I love his music ever. Beatiful song, prelude of great album, i'm sure.

That's absurd. How do you evaluate or measure "spirit " in a song?
What you're saying is that it didn't make you feel connected at an spiritual level, which is your experience and your opinion and it deserves respect, but it clearly doesn't mean that the song isn't good or that it has "no spirit at all"
