Van Halen - The Seventh Seal Lyrics

Walk me down to the wishing well
Help me find that miracle
Splash that holy water on me
Drown my faith in trinity, yeah!
Oh yeah
Little by little, gonna get it, I swear
One more piece of the puzzle, I'm there
Gotta get lucky gotta get that done
Little bit of luck never hurt no one
Come on take me down, down, down....
I'm in a cold sweat
Lord don't let me drown, drown, drown, drown
In mother earth's soul, yet
Under darken skies
We'll see the light
Broken now I can't help but feel
Someone cracked the seventh seal
Nothing sacred, nothing left unturned
When nothing's simple then nothing's learned
So take me down to the virgin spring
Wash away my suffering, oh
Splash that holy water on me
Wash my eyes so I can see
Come on take me down, down, down....
I'm in a cold sweat
Lord don't let me drown, drown, drown, drown
In mother earth's soul, not yet
Lord I think I found, found, found....
My mother lode, hey
Down, down, down, down, down, down,
Take me down, down, down, down....
Take me

  4. Cristian Zabaleta

QUE PEDASO DE TEMA ALTO SONIDO

  5. Marc Tallman

Best album start to finish. I remember seeing them at blossom music center 1997 I think.. unscheduled stop.. they were touring with collective soul that year. They came out in Cleveland Indians Jerseys since we were in the world series..that set the tone for how the night would go.. never set down and 2 and half hours of party party party.. Sammy said.. " this is for you fans .. what you want us to play .. not a set list on tour... my brother and I drove home to our local bar after the show and gave the DJ a tip.. play the van Halen balance tunes.... whole place went bonkers.. every time I hear a song from this record.. brings back the memories of blossom.. still the best show at blossom I've been to.. 20000 plus just rocking to these guys .. that's before you could drink and tailgate in parking lot.. bring them back for an encore.

  6. Ultimate Sin

This is a pretty good song yo

  7. gearsofwar3xXx

The kid on the cover is Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen. Goes to show you how old this song is, but still a classic.

  8. Michael Garcia

That's one of my favorite songs.

  9. Paul Lukasik

This song is so bad ass !!! What a tone Eddie has here. The band are firing on all cylinders. Such a shame we never got more after Balance.

  10. William Fuller

Forever wishing I could sing on the level of Sammy Hagar 🤘🤘🗣️

  11. Mark Kaufman

This one kind of lost in the shuffle, too bad people don't know what they missing..

  12. Donal King

Brilliant song. From a superb band.

  13. Darrel Voyles

Eddie Van Halen makes this band otherwise there woyld be no band think about this .

    abstractheory1

Wow! So profound. You must be a deep thinker.

Awesome tracks and especially sound but forever a weird album cover.

  19. Mark Kelly

I was raised on early VAN HALLEN and I was so FUCKIN MAD when Dave broke off. I would not listen to the new VAN HALLEN for a long time. One day I heard SAMMY FRONTIN for VAN HALLEN -
I WAS BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY.
YES I BELIVE IN SECOND COMINGS
    UNBELIVABLE.
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER VAN HAGAR.
I'LL CO SIGN THIS MUTHA FUCKAH

a gift from heaven Van Halen and this song

  22. J L

Just another album that went number 1 on the charts, well deserved. Dave was good but the music and their success skyrocketed with Sammy

  23. Mark Schimmoller

    Killer!

  24. DVincentW

Balance : Light and Dark; Good and Evil ..Yin / Yang.
That cover was banned in the US because conservative neo liberals and pedophiles were pissed off by it.
Lyrics in this by Sammy are based on the Ingmar Bergman film Seventh Seal (1957) which none of the comments mention.
    7 out 10

  25. Michael Raffaele

great track. this is a very unappreciated VH record. the Hagar catalog with the band in general doesn't get enough credit from a lot of people. they did some great stuff together.

    vampiras coffin

    Classic shit 1986-1995

    TechNemesis

This is my favorite VH album. Hagar was the best with them.

  26. DB Jack70

    Sorry.
Basically the exact same template as Poundcake, without the party atmosphere and hooky chorus.
This tune is all show, no go and empty.

    DVincentW

    Sorry?.. its not your fault.
No one needs your reassurance that its ok to like this music.
    There are similarities still...
    Everyone has an opinion.
    Dont apologize for having one.

    Ron Rio

    DBryant Jackson damnnnn 😮🤘

  27. Al NOSNERD

This song goes THROUGH ME .every.fucken.time.TIMELESS

  28. Chris Stayner

The best Van Halen song, hands down.

    Nature Rules

I guess you never heard of MEAN STREET!!!

  29. Ace Maze

Sammy could not even compete with diamond dave

    Thrills2010

BULLSHIT .... Mr. Diamond Dave was all about " Showing off & THE DRUGS " and every body knows it!
Sammy Hagar was all about THE MUSIC & you can hear it in all his songs. Don't get me wrong, now I loved both Diamond Dave & Sammy Hagar's era with Van Halen . . . But Sammy will ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE!

However, your entitled to your opinion, no matter how ridiculous it may be.

    John Jenley

That's an idiot comment to make Hagar is way better

    ldolphin34

Apples and oranges. David Lee provided the glitz and glamour. Sammy provided direction, versatility, even conscientiousness. Both versions of this band rock our world.

  30. Stephen Fiore

From the Bible: Revelation 8:1 "And when he opened the 'Seventh Seal' there was silence in heaven for about the space of a half hour."

    Ron Rio

    Stephen Fiore damnnnn 😁🤘

    City Point

    Hmm then rains down huh.

    jasper426

How did they know what a half hour was back then if they didn't have clocks

Go within and meditate for half an hour [early morning and night, just before sleep] Psalms 1:2 kjv

The wash my eyes so that I can see. The word lympha means "water" in Latin. The "living waters". The brain cerebral aqueduct and the four ventricles in the brain [the four rivers of Eden, Genes 2:10 kjv]

The lympha "living river of living waters" is connected to the critical lymphatic system. The lymphatic system "flushes out" our damaged cells, toxins that cause it to be sluggish [mucus build-up], and helps keep our immune system strong.

The lymphatic system is connected to the immune system: lymphocytes, perforin secretions into damaged cells, and the macrophages - that search out and swallow the damaged cells, bacteria, etc, they are called "little eaters".

Anyway, this is just some of the knowledge [hidden knowledge] within the bible

If you want to know more - check out Bill Donahue and his "Hidden Meanings" presentations. I AM not in agreement [mentis/mente in Latin means "mind] with all of his very informative presentations - however, you will NEVER look at, nor read the bible the same way again

  43. Andrew J.C.

This is all the thing! Even the dead would come to life...

  44. SuperGaleford

Everyone was on top of their game for this record.

    knightkrawler

They did have a lot of internal conflict, though... Good music never comes from happiness.

    Dustin Cox

They were actually fighting and couldn't even be in the same room most of the time.

  45. drby0788

    M Daddy

Might give the debut album another listen

    Tony Brick
