Vampire Weekend - I Don't Think Much About Her No More Lyrics
I don't think much about her no more
Seldom if ever does she cross my mind
Yesterday's gone, Lord, it's better forgotten
Like the poison red berries to die on the vine
Had some coffee and talked with some old friends of mine
Laughing at the good times they remembered
And then I remembered a time
Lord, I can see the bright lights back in Dallas
As yesterday moves like a dream through my mind
I didn't suppose that I'd ever forget her
And you know it took such a long time
But I don't think much about her no more
Yesterday's gone and it's better forgotten
It's like a poison red berry that clings to the mind

Wow this is beautiful!
I believe this is a cover of the song of the same name by Mickey Newbury. Ezra often refers to folk/country inspirations in interviews for FOTB. I think it’s a wonderful tribute to old American songwriters. Definitely a song that could have appeared on the album as one of the enders. Here’s to hoping more songs that didn’t make it on the album seep through seams!
Very happy to listen to it on the Japanese release.
On the version of the album that included this song, what track was it? I want to know where it fit.
its track 20 on the japanese release. i uploaded the bonus tracks in order
Sounds like The Bird and the Bee's cover of "How deep is your Love"
I will kill myself if Spotify never upload this
Thank you bionic fruit

This mornin' at dawn, Lord, I pulled in town
Had some coffee and talked with some old friends of mine

Screams walkmen you & me
They just made the best version of this song. Brings tears to my eyes. Danielle’s voice coming in at the third verse is so beautiful and tragic. Thanks for uploading this.
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but i absolutely love Danielle's contributions to the album, this song is just making it more obvious. i wouldn't mind if she joins the band.
Ooooooooh. This is hauntingly gorgeous.
