Uriah Heep - Love In Silence Lyrics

A beautiful song, one off the many highlights of a wonderful band, saw them live twice, in 2006 in germany and in 2014 at Sweden rock festival, the show from Sweden is in my opinion one off the best shows of the band in all their long career and one off the best shows I ever saw in my life and I saw more than 500 shows, if you were there than you know what i'm talking about

The best Uriah Heep album.

I have always felt that with Sea of Light and Sonic Origami Uriah Heep rose to the heights of beautiful music again, comparable to the early 70s. This song is a masterpiece alright.

saw these guys in 77, yes im that old but,,, it took me 40 years to learn that this is one of the greatest bands ever conceived. im re listening to their music once again and im fuckin blown away,,, its Incredible.
this is the best music Ive ever heard. ever will likely....they are truly genius, the composition just blows my mind.

Grandiosa canción

When I discovered Sea Of Light in 1995,n I was really amazed aty how the band had evolved again towards something closer to what they were doing in 1970 - 73... with a more modern sound (in terms of synths, for instance, but still couple with good old Hammond organ... Yes, there were orchestral elements, a progressive edge... and the huge high-pitched harmony vocals were back... It's really inspired, all along and this "ballad" is one of the very best songs of the album - Sea of Light is certainly one of my top 5 Heep albums ever.

Always!!

This version of Uriah Heep left the old Heep far behind. Hensley, whilst a good writer and player, eventually became an albatross around Heep's neck. They could never move forward with only one writer in the band. From this album on, Heep have surpassed their history and moved way beyond Ken Hensley's rather staid style of writing and into more exciting realms of great melodic rock music. The old Heep sounds amateurish compared to this version. Mick and the boys have never sounded or played better. Long may they run.

I don't agree with this really... Look at the five first albums : they're all fairly different... then they declined, they were touring and partying too much, too much drugs too much alcohol... I think the band have always arranged Hensley's songs, he said it himself many years ago, that the sometimes progressive edge of some pieces (which is definitely what I prefer in UH, along with the fast catchy epic songs featuring those wonderful harmony vocals) came from the whole band, and not just from him. He did some great songs and some not too great songs, that's all... And after he left, it became quite common AOR/American hard-rock music  whose albums could have been done by anybody. Even the two first ones done with Bernie Shaw were mostly still in this pretty "big hard rock" style...
Now it's all co-signed by Lanzon and Box... they did most of Sea Of Light, which is a really great album, one of the very best.... and they did some less interesting stuff too.. Bands are more or less inspired, and it's all quite subjective... I know people who love the Abominog, Head First  era....
Now the last album Outsider sounded rather bland because it's exactly the same sound and mostly the same style throughout. Good hard rocking songs, OK but not any variations and Box recycled many basic riffs...  I have got higher hopes for the new one coming out in September.

You can see clearly the influence of Uriah Heep in power/melodic metal bands.

a lot of Soviet and Hungarian ensembles contemplated their hard rock songs on Uriah Heep. However, Omega's 10000 Lepes seems to have some impact on early UH.

@badcoraphael Check out Manilla road,song's like the Deluge are pretty good.And they are heavily influenced by Uriah heep.

@luciernagaval, you're right, I was only trying to be humorous, since I think that many of those unsuccesfull ones are actually doing their best to be recognized as such :-D Once upon a time musicians used to try to convince the world that they were GOOD and RICH in ideas. Nowadays they try to convince the world that they are BAD and POOR in ideas. Quality and inventiveness have become an extremely rare thing. That's what I think.

There are musicians and there are those who successfully pretend to be.

Uriah Heep are musicians.
