When Uriah Heep came to Russia for the first time with the concerts I couldn't be present there and didn't know the guys then/ It was in the late 80s, as I remember. But one of my friends did go and said it was superb.

Some are saying - 'Who won the war?' and calling for Brexit - and worse still - the demise of the European Union. When will they ever learn (And Quiet Flows the Don) When will they ever learn? This song tells us - in a powerful allegory - that NOBODY ever wins a war - some just lose it slightly more catastrophically than others. Nobody EVER wins. And the UK government is about to denounce our part in the Treaty which ended - not only the Second World War in Europe, but the First World War and all the 'little wars ' going back to the Peace of Westphalia and the Treaty of Utrecht.

Very haunting track,Byron’s voice simply great. I First saw UH at The Oldfield Tavern in Greenford which is long gone, shortly after they had released Look at Yourself. I wish I had seen them with Gary Thain on Bass. A truly great band.

Uriah Heep died when David Byron had to leave. Never ever was a voice heard with this brightness and variations. Although Ken Hensley, Mick Box, Paul Newton and Alex Napier were great musicians, without David Byron Uriah Heep doesn't exist anymore. Cruel and horrable what the current vocalist offers. This is not, repeat not Uriah Heep

I first heard Heep on WORJ RADIO FREE FLORIDA in 1970. Still one of my top 3 all time. This video absolutely captures the essence of the song.David Byron was brilliant. A great trip back to better days.

I've missed many or all uriah heep activities cos I was born 23 yrs ago. but I know uriah heep from their tapes that is still stored by my family (Grandfather & Father & Uncle's) and still can be played untill present day, and if the members of uriah heep is still exist on these day, I hope they will return and make reunion so the fans can see them.
