This had to be one of the hardest songs to listen to. This song tore at my heart ❤ and broke my 💔 at the same time. 😥 one of the saddest songs I've ever heard but also a song that needed to be sung. The problem with this country of our is there's not enough suicide support for troubled teens who are contemplating suicide. And this needs to stop. This life we're given is short and we need to live it to the fullest. Not throw it away . It makes me sad and angry that this young lady had little to no support from those close to her. People that could of helped her during this trying time for her. So much could have been done for her and yet no one wanted to step up and help her not even her own family. I mean who gives a fuck that she was gay that was still there child and they should of helped her instead of turning a blind eye to the issue hopping that this was just a phase and that it would go away with time. I'm just hoping that her death will help raise awareness to the issue of teen suicide and that programs can be set up to help people struggling with depression and anxiety and mental illness. So that another family doesn't have to go through the pain of losing a child to suicide. It's time for America to step up and fully address this issue before it gets worse.

This song is about a teen Ryan knew named Mindy Llewellyn. She ran away from home in Cheatham County in 2012 and later hung herself while she was in custody of the police in a holding cell. She died at a nearby hospital on May 14, 2012. RIP

I like how that is spelled out..guess it is old... only one other person I knew with a middle name close to mine hers was also Luellen ... and she was a class mate.. in the 70's ... I also heard it once on Sanford and son's TV show a long time ago... that gal was Fred Sanfords niece on the show... good to hear a song with that name... The first time I heard I broke down in tear my older brother had a friend but he wasn’t just a friend he was like a second brother but he was bullied and he killed himself he wrecked his truck in purpose and I couldn’t bare to go to his funeral I just couldn’t see him that way but I was made fun of for not going to it.

Dude this brought tears to my eyes man this is so deep omg man I had a couple friends who tried committing suicide and I stoped them I also tied two times myself I used to cut my wrist also and got a tatto to cover them I could’ve been dead if I cut my wrist to deep I regreted doing it I was depressed and going through a lot at the time dealing with personnel issues and demons of my own and this reminded me of it this very deep church sorry for your loss brother

a guy i went to school with named wyatt bramwell killed himself this summer he was a star football player with multiple scholarships i think to MU he had one hell of a life ahead of himself but felt the need to end it this song reminded me of him and the deep message gets me everytime so thank you church

I don't know how many times I've heard this song, but re-listening to it recently and actually hearing the lyrics brings a whole new perspective on this. I feel the pain in the lyrics. I'm not going to say I feel your pain, because everybody feels it differently and deals with it differently, but I understand why you weren't able weren't able to bring yourself to go to her funeral, I wouldn't be able to either.

Couldn't sleep, so I've been watching some of your videos. I've listened to this one before, but finally decided to do some digging. Found the back story, and it brought me to tears, bro. Suicide is a bitch. In the military/veteran world, I've lost 3 buddies to suicide, the latest being in this past August. It's the feeling of mystery, uncertainty, and just the awful feeling of being lost. Fuckn sucks.

I just lost a good friend of mine her name was Abby her mom found her layin next to her bed she OD'd on her pills I was recently living with her we were together for 5 months until she said she needed space an we las talked last Saturday. She was found found dead Monday mornin she got cremated on Tuesday or Wednesday I miss her so much I love her still but ik shes a beautiful angel now I love you Abby Lynn forever an Always. I've lost family and friends to suicide....my dad one of them a little over a year ago.

I've had health issues and I understand suffering can lead you to want rest and sometimes it seems like death would be a relief, BUT...

BUT....most things, most pains, most issues are temporary.... if you will let them be temporary. Never make permanent decisions based on temporary problems. If things seem THAT bad, talk to someone, for God's sake and the sake of those you will cause suffering, TRY to find another way. Most times you can't do that on your own, and you may not have the best support network in young friends.

Find an adult. A professional would be best, but a pastor is a good option, too.

This song is everything I remember about someone that I used to know. It’s cryptic how people say words in conversation, and we as people only see the surface. It’s crazy that it takes the names that haunt us to truly make us dive deeply into the abyss beyond the words we hear. The darkness that never fades when we feel the pressure on our chests of missing something ever so important. It’s insane how people worlds apart can lead such similar lives. Tragic almost in a way.
