Underoath - The 80's Song Lyrics
[special edition track]
I've been up at this all night long
I've been drowning in my sleep
I've prayed for your safe place
Time is running, is running on empty and the gas is running out
I've decided that tonight is the night
That I set love aside
Speed ahead this seems to be the place
I've seen this once before
Planned perfection sought in my dreams
Hoping this would take you home
My knuckles have turned to white
So kiss me one last time
Around this turn where the cross will cast your shadow
The people will all gather
To remember such a day where the flames grew as high as trees
And the world stopped for you and me
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes
I will now bring new meaning to the word alone
Endless nights of dreaming of life
And the days we should have spent here
Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep
Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep
Glass shatters and comes to a halt (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
I thought we'd be there by now (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
I thought it would be so much quicker than this (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
Pain has never been so brilliant (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
I made sure you were buckled in (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
Now you can walk hand in hand, hand in hand with him (Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep)
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes
My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes

Ita dangerous business = hobbit / LOTR reference
This version is not bad.
Listened this song at 2007 but knew the title just now :')
Why are you the only one that doesn't like it?
It's cool with the screaming on top... It creates like this bipolar thing, I guess
Omg O.o ...
My knuckles have turned to white
There's no turning back tonight
.....favorite part of the song
I can hear a big difference...
part from 0:58 sounds better than in its dangerous business walkin out your front door...
Scream !!!! :O xD <3 x3
@orangepillow12 fuckin A
To be honest I like this version better.
@j03yjam dangerous business is just the final product of them making the song. this version could have been the final, but they made the changes in guitar, drums, keyboard and the title of the song all together.
@nickfromdtown1992 80's song is a demo i think.
@mr1234567809 wrong
No difference.
Its like Teenage wasteland and Baba O'Reilly
Same song. 2 names
@dorychick71
stephaniemirembex is wrong..
For one, this song is NOT It's Dangerous Business Walking out Your Front Door, this song is The 80's Song, which is an early version of It's Dangerous Business.
Furthermore, she wrote the song title wrong, calling it "OUTSIDE Your Front Door", so yeah; it prooves how much she knows about any of this.
Nope, this song is The 80's Song, an EARLY version of It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door.
It's the special edition of They're Only Chasing Safety.
This song is an early version of It's Dangerous Bussiness.
You're an idiot, his fiance didn't die, he just made that clear. He probably scoffed or something to that effect because I imagine he gets that question quite alot. I have no reason not to believe him...
@dorychick71 it's called dangerous business walking outside your front door .
album pLEAseeeee??
wawn't this called "its' dangerous business walking outside ur front door"?
@skater42590 a slow and painful death that you can't even feel.
hahaha!
ok so this is basically a demo or remix of dangerous business right? damn i just discovered this song today despite having it for a while and i might like it more the original. maybe b/c i've listened to the original too many times
That is not music for nazi germans...
its probley called "dangerious business since 1967" or something like that :P
"...are pre-production demos of songs which would later grow to become the regular album tracks. "The 80's Song" is an early version of "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door"..." thank you wikipedia lol
yeah, thats a mix of the later version of this song, and a song called january of 1979 by mewithoutyou. beautiful song.
Cause the legion of doom sampled underoath's Its dangerous business walkin out your front door for that song, and this is the rough version of "its dangerous..." But yes this song is called "the 80s song"
im so glad they came up with its dangerous business instead
this is good but the other is better
actually, yes it is called the 80's song. this is the demo version. compare both of them, they sound different. just like you're so intricate and im content with losing, you're so intricate is the demo of im content with losing.
its not a remix tho, its the earlier version of the song
lol took me 5 mins 2 learn the name just now. u can js type the lyrics u hear onto google and it will come up.
definately my favourite. 5/5.
