Underoath - Heart Of Stone Lyrics
All the blood in their souls pour out, look for something in the dark
Blinded they find nothing another lust given in, another trust shut within
Listen to him speak so holy, father God, I'm saved
That's fall that matters let the rest burn in hell
Preach false, a sin is a sin, doesn't give you the right to condemn then to hell
Once you were a sinner how would you like it if someone laughed at you because of your wrongs?
I'm not here to accept their sings but I'm here to show them love within
Listen to him speak so holy, Father God I'm saved
That's all that really matters let the rest burn in hell.
No Matter how hard you try you can't convince me that you represent Christ
No more, I'm fed up with this... you've already killed too many souls
It's time you wake up and see the truth Christian, I stand no afraid of my beliefs
Learn to love your enemies, to open their eyes you must be willing to die
Look at your own wrongs before you look at someone else's
You want to save souls or put souls to death
You're so wrong with your beliefs, sit in church every week, but never do you help the weak
This is time to take back what's ours, not to give the world what's ours
Don't you want to see everyone saved or just yourself with a river of blood on your hands?

I think this was the first death core record and they don't know it
4:17 "DONT JERK OFF"
Holy crap, almost makes me want to join their religion
Still listening in 2020
Hard to imagine that they went from this to what they are now days. Although, to be fair, they were pretty much quite literally an entire different band back then when they created these first two albums. Two of their best releases though I think personally speaking.
tHIS WAS THE FUCKING SHIT!!!! wHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO
!!!
My favorite album!
Louder back then
The laughing at the beginning is so damn awkward
Their best song
The band as a whole I don't really like. I'm a metal elitist (ya know, if it ain't true kvlt, brutal, etc etc). But I will say one thing. I can't think of many songs that just go from "verse" to "verse" to "verse", with no repeats once its has been played. Just a riff that repeats for X amount of times, and as soon as it does you never hear it again. It's like the song was almost written in an essay format. No repetition on ideas, so no repeated riffs, just going through a complete thought from start to finish.
Spent a damn week playing nothing but this on my drums and even at that still was quite up to snuff. Complex little licks in there!
Kelly Clarkson goes hardcore brought me here
When Underoath had a different frontman
Other underoath songs similar to this one?
thomas hickey cries of the past

Lyrics are super gay, but dalas' delivery is amazing
Love that snare, man
These guys need to collab with ABR
Aaron had such a tasty snare going here

14 horas despues del ultimo comentario ..... digo lo mismo, son los mejores
son los mejores ❤
While I still appreciate their later stuff, I fucking love their old stuff, they sound like Converge goes Death Metal and Black Metal goes Christian.
blackcore
John Alex Paredes Ochoa unblackedend deathcore
I always blast this when I lift in the gym. Can't even understand the lyrics but this song always gets me angry and my adrenaline up.
Jesus Wenceslao fr
Everything about this is still on point.
Was that fuckin' Flapjack in the beginning? That's crazy, considering that cartoon wasn't released until '08.
So good.
Has a sounding the seventh trumpet vibe to it
this was first.
7th trumpet has an act of depression vibe then lol
Use to see them every Friday night when I was a teenager in Brandon Florida. Way before they were a huge band and just local. Good times
Literally never gets old
Awesome reminds me of old bring me the horizon
+xxxLegoKillerrr69 UnderOath was formed long before BMTH dude. xD This album came out in 1999 and is out of print, except for the limited edition re-print they did to make more money. Lol. Other than that and ebay it's pretty much impossible to find this album and cries of the past anymore.
+Da KillaBaer I know it's way long before they just have some similar sounds I prefer underoath over bmths new shit anyway
Fuck yeah. Sorry i didn't know if you knew or not ^_^
this is more dying fetus + dillinger escape plan
Underoath influenced bmth.
I sought for more than 10 years trying to find this song but finally found already passed 15 years
lol am I the only one DYING @ the lyrics? Too funny man.
Not a christian but love this song. So agressive.
The breakdown in this. I adore
+Hannah Dalling Dude, ME TOOOOOO
God, their first album was so depressing
I can't believe this is the first time im hearing this O_o Amazing haha
The song began nice then... WHY SCREAMING LIKE A STUPID? SHUT THE FUCK UP. Hate these screams.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
@Dropkickpennyday95 I can't make up my mind without listening to it at least once. :)
So I don't find your advice very useful.
@Leonardo Fratini if you can scream for at least an hour without losing your voice, I'll take what you're saying seriously. whether or not it's "stupid" is a matter of opinion. it takes control and practice of proper technique to do properly (i.e without permanently damaging your throat).
+Leonardo Fratini listening to it, complaining to it. hmm, you're hooked.
Come on!
Dallas had 19 , Aaron 16..
and yes, one of them is latinamerican..
:)
Act of depression: July/1999.
Cries of the past: July/2000.
and personally, the only 2 Incredible albums of them.
@***** He's basically saying Act Of Depression and Cries Of The Past were both released on July, AOD was released in 1999 and COTP was released in 2000, and Dallas, the lead singer sang on this album when he was only 19, and Aaron played the drums on this album when he was barely 16. And I also like the first 2 albums because they were very metal and dark, almost like deathcore or black metal. Dallas's screaming on here took ALOT of practice and work.
I honestly like this and their later stuff
I really do not. Ha ..
Cause, after cries of the past they involutionate in a ´´not good quality post hardcore..´´
I can't believe they were only 14 and 15 in this record
They were???
@Dropkickpennyday95 yes they were. I didn't know this until just recently too
+underoathstuff No, you're wrong. Aaron was the youngest and he was almost 16. Dallas was 19, and the rest were around Dallas' age or older.
+Danielle Keda Dallas was 19..
Dropkickpennyday95 they were not
i miss this kind of underoath
I MISS THEM TOO!!!
petra atonomy im sure you'll say the same for BMTH
I love how this song starts
This is sick!
Anyone else notice they used some parts from Engine No. 9 by Deftones?
Underoath I love you sooo... :(
never got to see them live.
When you really think about it, Christianity is just perfect for death metal. The idea of others burning in Hell unending. What could be darker than eternal punishment? God tends to be denounced in death metal but actually being on his side is fucking wicked.
i read on a history thing online it was the reinviting your exit song they played last
This was the last song they ever played. <3
Wow havent heard this song in so long. Still gives me chills through my body.
ugh why is it always new underoath is better or old underoath is better, all underoth is good
So immature "hardcore" messy music is > matured, heavy, creative and different metal? Interesting
Not at all.
Is That A Gasket ??
I'm looking forward to the day when new Underoath and old Underoath fans stop kissing their ass's and appreciate both styles for this reason: different styles. You guys will soon realize that people have different musical preferences. Arguing that old Underoath is better won't make new Underoath fans like old Underoath better, no matter how strong your case is. Everyone, please start maturing.
It's a different band ha
Christcore\m/
you're crazy man. disambiguation and define the great line were the best.
glad they are disbanding. Dallas left and i stopped listening. The music turned really bad after he left.
like black and white
The new Underoath is amazing in my opinion, but they will never beat the old Underoath.
i think he was being sarcastic lol
Such a strong message!
nothing like the originals to educate about good music .... sigh! love old underoath
They have the bsts riffs Timothy 1:38
"hahahahahahahahahahahaahha.. WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
because new vocalist
This is going to be on their anthology album
haha this is sooo different from they're only chasing safety....
Because they have zero original members.
I miss this.
Old underoath -3
I never get tired of this song. It doesn't even matter that I can't hear and understand the lyrics, it's about the shear power of the music!
yes, our thought process is beyond yours. well said!
I completely agree they were total shit back in the day, but i personally like this song a lot (aside from the christian meaning that is)
oh thank god! i had forgotten all about All Shall Perish! :D
To open their eyes you must be willing to die.
Crucify the flesh and God bless!
this band just need some blast beats with black metal riffs and they're set
whoa. how did underoath go from heavy to post hardcore. this is pretty heavy shit \m/
How do you dance to Disambiguation, just being honest, I don't find it at all possible to actually dance to this kind of music, let alone play as a lullaby. I remember another time I once set All Shall Perish "There's no business on a dead planet" lol and then I wondered why my dreams were always becoming really weird and dark towards the end.Worked great as an alarm lol.
I love old Underoath with Dallas Taylor
not gonna lie...first time i heard this the laugh at the beginning scared the ever living crap out of me....
Miss so much old Underoath! It always will stayed in my heart <33
The lyrics remind me of Anaal Nathrakh, except Underoath actually published them.
this is AMAZING
no way
Is this release worth much money?
@XxXAfterlifexXxX A little added creepiness. What else?
@XxXAfterlifexXxX its just some random stuff thats sometimes added to songs that people add
What is the laughing at the beginning for?
