Ultravox - Your Name (Has Slipped My Mind Again) Lyrics
Something stops me from seeing too clear
A misty haze floats round the room
The murmurs make it hard to hear
The voices and the words
My speech is sparse and tends to slur
I wonder what happened to my friend to day
Can't hear the words
[Chorus:]
O O
Your name has slipped my mind again
O O O O O
O O
Your name has slipped my mind again
It's hard to focus in this light
I'm growing warm and feeling dull
The heartbeat pounds with vicious fright
There's something to remember
I clench my fist but feel no sensation
The walls around me spin and sway
A flash back image in my vision
I remember
[Chorus x3]

Ultravox Your Name (Has Slipped My Mind Again) Comments
I had in my you experiences much as the narrator described.
Sounds sad to me
A brilliant song. heard this at the odeon, Birmingham, 1981. Saw them in 1980 when Midge first took the reigns. The whole Blitz scene was taking place by 1981. I was only 16, but I was determined to be a part of something that I loved. I stood there in my baggy trousers and pixey boots. I wish I could return, with my naive youth, and encapsulate the excitement and trepidation that coursed through me. It was a truly magical time, and I thank God that experienced it in all of its glory
Yes i remember this song.
Reminds me of the edge of sleep when you are not sure if you are awake or sleeping.
not dissapointed was "weend" on thlyke!!
interesting sound, sounds like new wave old school ebm bit heavy for synthpop, love it
It _is_ "New Wave old school."
