Ed Sheeran, currently the biggest thing in the world today, apparently. If he'd written this song, it'd be number one smash hit, and he'd be spunked over as the best thing since Elvis. Thing is, this song was basically a mid-tier song off of a U2 Album that's not even nowhere near regarded as one of their best, yet I'd say it's one of the best songs ever written by anyone. Sheeran, et al, would get nowhere near close to this quality, and it's not even regarded as one of U2's better songs. How standards have fallen away to fuck all in the music industry. There's only a handful of people keeping actual music alive, and U2 are some of them. Once they go, who've we got left?

Listening with headphones to any U2 song you can really hear Adam's awesome bass skills. People always focus on the Edge and Bono but I think Adam is really the core of most songs. Just listen to "Exit"
