Seriously Trevor, music is probably the one medium that can reach me on the most deeply emotional level (film and such can still get to me, but not like a truly great song) and while there are a lot of artists, both living and dead, to whom I owe a lot (Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Newton Faulker, Gabrielle Aplin and Hozier to name a few) you are the one I have to thank the most. I first heard Other Ways I think around 2007-2008 (yes, from Shrek 3 :D) and hoo boy I had no idea just how much that one song would impact my life.
From there I started looking into more of your music, and over a short period of time your lyrics made me reflect on things such as my place in the world, and how I interacted with others - given that I was 15-16 at the time, I was at the peak of my 'grumpy teenager' phase :D - and your music helped me see how I could be a better person in so very many ways. A lot of people mentioned that they saw a change in me that year - a very positive one, and I'm convinced that I have you to thank for it :).

So thank you for that, and for giving me so many awesome tunes to either chill or rock out to! :D
