As always, you sound amazing T. After listening to this song several times, I have to admit that the chorus was stuck in my head. However, I'm not loving it. Personally, I don't like the use of calling a woman bitch no matter what some people say about it being a term of empowerment. That aside, I'm not moved by the song. What's missing for me is how I was moved in my soul when I've listened to your earlier songs from your first album, your Uppers & Downers EP, and even earlier songs like Uncomplicated. Many of those songs made me want to just close my eyes and take in the sound of your voice, but I haven't felt that way about your last 3 singles which includes this one. I don't know what place you were pulling from when you sang that NASA/Good Things Fall Apart mashup, but I tell you that was extraordinary. Words can't really describe it. It definitely had me in my feelings and almost brought tears to my eyes. I'm not putting you down by any means but just saying that I miss the feeling I used to get from your original songs. I hope your new songs makes me feel something in my soul again. Several of my favorite R&B/soul artists like Stevie Wonder, Brandy, and Charlie Wilson have that quality, and you have it as well. Hope your next single puts me in my feelings again. Much love!
