@animeandgamefan Well, I don't think he was saying anything about what people should or shouldnt listen to. Fact of the matter is a lot of popular music today is relatively simple and basic. One can imagine what little effort went into the making of the music and lyrics (usually something along the lines of sexual relations/relationships (often shallow in my opinion)/drinking/smoking etc., and a simple repeating pattern for a beat). Simply put, there's dance music, then there's true music.
