It was fine until Skinhead Rob started singing...ugh
Better than the original,...
madness are nothing but pop for the masses,
We need new album 🤘🤘
Please I need this song with Skinhead Rob and Suggs!
Skinhead rob is on point on this album, really like his new style vocally
Play at 1.25 speed the tempo seems a little slow.
It helps.
speed : 1.5 8p
Naughty boys in nasty schools
Headmaster's breaking all the rules
Having fun and playing fools
Smashing up the woodwork tools
All the teachers in the pub
Passing round the ready-rub
Trying not to think of when
The lunchtime bell will ring again
Oh what fun we had
But, did it really turn out bad
All I learnt at school
Was how to bend not break the rules
Oh what fun we had
But at the time it seemed so bad
Trying different ways
To make a difference to the days
The headmaster's had enough today
All the kids have gone away
Gone to fight with next door's school
Every term, that is the rule
Sits alone and bends his cane
Same old backsides again
All the small ones tell tall tales
Walking home and squashing snails
Oh what fun we had
But, did it really turn out bad
All I learnt at school
Was how to bend not break the rules
Oh what fun we had
But at the time it seemed so bad
Trying different ways
To make a difference to the days
Lots of girls and lots of boys
Lots of smells and lots of noise
Playing football in the park
Kicking pushbikes after dark
Baggy trousers, dirty shirt
Pulling hair and eating dirt
Teacher comes to break it up
Back of the 'ead with a plastic cup
Oh what fun we had
But, did it really turn out bad
All I learnt at school
Was how to bend not break the rules
Oh what fun we had
But at the time it seemed so bad
Trying different ways
To make a difference to the days
Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers
Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers
Baggy trousers, baggy trousers, baggy trousers
Baggy trousers, baggy trousers...
This is epic. Sounds like Death March or Toxic Narcotic playing two tone when Rob is on the microphone. Lint always kills it. From Operation Ivy, Rancid, his solo record with The Aggrolites backing him up, Tim Timebomb material, etc. It is all excellent. Some of the best music ever. Travis Barker is one of the greatest drummers in the world. This EP is solid. A great many bands that perform covers of songs typically butcher them. This is terrific. The Violators song is unreal. They all are. The new Transplants song is sick. I have said this many times before but The Transplants can play so many styles of music and it is all really fucking good. Definitely an all star band. I saw one of their first shows in SFC at Slims with Pressure Point & Matt Freeman was on bass, Craig from The Forgotten was on rhythm guitar. Lars sang a song or two. Shit was crazy. I am stoked I bought this. Thanks for posting. Cheers!!(A)
I' am English.. Born in England.. And i love this cover.. Great Stuff M8
What a fucking train wreck.
Why? 😢😢😢😢
Still waiting for an operation ivy cover...... Afraid of what you might find out????????????????????????????????????????????????? You might just like it!
I really like this - but the bit in the first verse where tim says "trying not to think about" instead of "trying not to think of when" is horrible!
FUCK YEAH! Never heard this shit before! Sick cover!!!!!!!! /,,/
Needs a flying saxo player
Who did drums for this?
Al King Travis
Jacob Cano of course that’s the obvi, just doesn’t sound like him
love the Rob part
Frank Delgado right he sounds so hard even on. a poppy song lol
I love you Transplants, but..You broke a really good song :/
This is an amazing song still
I honestly like this more than the Madness version, which is saying something because two-tone got me into most of the music I listen to
that is what they are suppose to do.
Takes me back
awesome!
great little cover!
