HELP! Who knows the SPOKEN intro WORDS (or BACKGROUND WORDS) in my favorite song from "Accelerated evolution" album - it's called "Depth charge". So I can't understand the lyrics from 1 min 22 sec. - 1 min. 28 sec. And after that comes the first verse (I know who's behind the door ...). So these word right before the verse 1.

Pretty sweet, but still leaves me wanting more? Could be the repetitiveness of the sections. Besides that, and the obvious loudness war problem it's a kickass tune. Surprising elements and pretty damn lush. Bwaat

There is not a 'loudness war problem', this is how devy chooses to produce his albums and honestly it's some of the best production ever. So overwhelmingly layered and complex, yet crystal clear, allowing you to hear every detail he wanted you to hear. The production on here is an absolute triumph

I love "The Death Of Music" and I understand how it can seem depressing to some but I don't find it depressing at all. To me it's a song about coping with loss and embracing all powerful emotions, even if they're overwhelming. I actually find it kinda uplifting. It's like, everyone goes through loss, but it's not the end of the world, you know?

Hehe, those are my favourites too, and also "Voices in the fan". But I don't find any of them depressing in that I don't feel worse when I listening to them. We all have different emotions going on in our lives. Wouldn't you like a good artist to go through that spectrum? :) Also, remember that Devin suffers from bipolar disorder and has been very honest about that.

Oh, man, "Life," "Night," "Regulator," and "Hide Nowhere" get me going SOOOO much. It seems to be his style to throw in at least one more depressing song on every album, though. "The Death of Music" and "Bastard" really get me in a depressed mood when I listen to them, so I tend to avoid them, now. Not sure if that's just me, or if that's kinda the general consensus. Probably just me...

I third that one. Some dude introduced "Life" to me at a party and the next day I was hooked on Ocean Machine.

@StUaRtNeT He did a bit of Hetfield type of vocal here and there(like Suicide)... I think Dev has much bigger vocal range. Acoustically and stylistically.
