It tricked me, I thought Paich sang the verses but listening to it again, it's Joe. According to Paich, Paich himself sang the falsetto. Which is surprising b/c he doesn't sing high all the time. Shem Von Shroek (sp) covers that part live as Paich doesn't have his 1984 range.

Very cool song with a high Toto signature. Do you notice it's an Africa little brother. Especially drums and a short passage of the lead vocal (looks like africa chorus)

I am in disbelief at how great this is! It has everything. Sublime harmonies, a cracking bass line and a top notch instrumental mid section. A classic to be remembered forever.

I have to admit, Toto definitely can shine at times considering they are a pop outfit from an era that was plenty cheesy. They still have that conventional 80s pop vibe, but they had a lot of soul. They may not out rock contemporaries such as Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Iggy Pop, Zappa, etc, but again they added cool to a musical format that produced plenty of dentist waiting room songs.

that's Steve Porcaro. He did some session work with Yes. maybe that's why they asked him to work with them on some projects with them. True the sound is similar.

Last Summer at a VIP Show we got to chat and hang out more than usual because the venue was smaller. When my Daughter was getting pictures with them, I said Chelsea look that way and then Steve and David said your name is Chelsea and she said yes. Then they said you will love the new album that will be coming out. You know how we love to have songs with Ladies names as the Title. 1 of the songs is named Chelsea. Am I missing something I haven't seen a new song named Chelsea or an old one on the new album? We will be seeing them on her Birthday in August, it would be Amazing to hear them sing that on her Birthday. Does anyone know about a song named Chelsea or has Chelsea in it by TOTO. Thanks....

They're releasing album with all new songs later this year. Steve Porcaro said that some of the songs will be released this Summer. You can ask Lukather on twitter, best chance you'll get the exact answer about song Chelsea.

It's a little annoying that this has the same beat as Africa. Similar synth solo to Rosana. Most people seem to think this is a good thing. to me t just seems unimaginitive. I'll keep listening and try to give it a fair chance, but the eye-roll is hard to resist.
