I remember back in 81 or 82, I'm not sure exactly, saying to my friend over here in the UK.. Toto, they are a fucking brilliant rock band and you could do worse than to check 'em out. Not sure about America, but the music press over here at the time hated stuff like this with a passion. it wasn't "cool" so I thought fuck being cool, these guys are great. My mate never got into them either, couldn't care less tbh. Toto are up there with the best music I've ever heard. Thanks for the video upload.

This album is incredibly underated

I'm a huge fan of British and European prog rock and not crazy about American rock, but TOTO is an exception.
Hydra was the first American rock album I bought. 40 years have passed and I still love it as much as I did when I first listened to it.

You could train a lab rat to play the crap that is put out in today's world. I've liked this song since about '80. Still don't know what it's about!?!?

The Champion goes off on a quest to rescue a maiden who, he believes, is his lost love. He sees a manifestation of Chaos in the guise of his maiden who is in a prison cell. Soon the Champion finds himself in a losing battle with the demon god Hydra...and she controls the Hydra! The battle is lost and the Champion is sentenced to his eternal fate, fighting for the Balance and never finding happiness or love.
